As I said, the men HAVE to wear shorts with slightly longer sleeves because they have anatomy that can potentially slip out in mid-gyration. Remember that the Olympics is all about winning the gold for your country. Countries go CRAZY over trying to win that gold. They cheat, they abuse athletes, they groom kids from near-infancy to be Olympic contenders. They aren't wearing the booty shorts for sex appeal, they're wearing them to maximize their chances of taking gold.
They didn't.
ANY piece of fabric that isn't skintight is a piece of fabric that can flap in the breeze, touch the bar, or otherwise cause you to fail to clear. Male pole vaulters wear similarly skintight shorts. Slightly longer sleeves... but women don't have to worry about certain bits of anatomy coming out in mid-gyration.
Seriously, I'm a big fan of eating lots of produce (I just started a diet plan of making at least half of every meal consist of fibrous veggies such as cabbage, mushrooms, kale, etc), but fuck PETA, and fuck militant vegans who pull this kind of shit. https://activistfacts.com/organizations/23-physicians-committee-for-responsible-medicine/
I remember when Dr Atkins died, and the news declared how he weighed 258 lbs at the time of his death. At which point a people got VERY pissed... because 1: someone had obtained and released his private medical records; 2: they had only released PART of the medical records because PCRM is a medwashing front for PETA; and 3: he got that fat from fluid retention, because he died from slipping on a patch of ice, hitting his head, and going into a coma.
"They belonged to two different worlds... but their love bridged the gulf between them..."
Ah, the Daily Two Minute Hate...
I used to listen to VH1 and MTV (and then MTV2, because MTV stopped doing... y'know... music), and I don't even remember any of these...
I had turkey burgers, myself. I'm always eager for something with bread after Pesach ends.
Why wait?
And of course, if you deliberately screw up the rocket science, then you've moved on into explosives and demolitions.
Didn't you know? Bigotry is perfectly acceptable when the good guys do it. Anything the good guys do is good by definition. /s
If he tries to relocate the residents, then people would accuse him of "ethnic cleansing." That being said, you're not wrong about the issue of "perennial status quo." I'd really like to see Joker die permanently, for instance. Not because Batman took the law into his own hands, mind. But... the same villains over and over again, it gets old. As it stands, the only real developments Batman has had have been extremely popular and well received (specifically, how he's become the Batdad).
As if one episode of TAS (back in the early 1990s) didn't START with Bruce working at one of the many soup kitchens he financed, where he learns that homeless people are being kidnapped to work as slave labor.
That's not an excuse. Gotham is LITERALLY cursed. As in, there are multiple magical curses on the place. PLUS Bruce Wayne is one of the few rich people in Gotham who doesn't belong to at least one of the multiple evil cabals that keep everything crappy for various reasons. And the last time he tried to make actual changes, Russia sent the KGBeast to impersonate a super-patriotic American who demonized everything Bruce was doing as socialism, because "Russia NEEDS Gotham to be our bogeyman."
Except that Superman DOES do a lot of scientific stuff. In S:TAS, he would often go into space on behalf of the scientists at Star Labs. And when he's not doing that, he's being an investigative reporter - because it helps him know where to go and who to punch. He IS often fighting against corrupt oligarchs and evil corporations (like Lex Luthor's).And to top it off, he inspires others to be heroes. Which is good in a universe like his, where alien invasions and malevolent entities are issues.
One of many examples of how Calvin was never really a bad kid, and often he'd get in trouble while trying to be good.
To be fair, she totally SHOULD say it before he drinks. Consent is key... and if he had drunk it, she'd have known he was into her.And yes, he should have drunk it. ^.^

Honest question. What was nawwall's response? Did he sputter and hide his account or delete the tweet? Or did he come back with, "Who's trying to come off hetero? I like my men big, dark, and hairy!"
To be fair, during the 90s both male and female celebrities were bordering on "heroin chic." Now we've got men and women in action roles who also have... y'know... MUSCLE. They look like they can actually hurt someone with a punch.
And a woman dying in labor affects society as well. Imagine all the people who would be left with a hole in their lives where she used to be, if she'd died.
Bear in mind that we had to be pretty insistent about vaccines a few years ago. A lot of times the doctors are trying to keep people alive who act dumber than horror movie victims. And a lot of times it's not even stupidity, it's just fear and ignorance. When an already stressed and terrified patient is convinced the c-section will kill her, she's not going to be particularly amenable to reason.
Previously they never actually hurt anyone ONSCREEN. The reason they immediately accepted "Gordon" as Fester in the first film is because he was a violent and deranged murderer... just like dear Fester. And I'm saying that as someone who likes Fester. There was a pretty good 8-bit NES game where aliens invade, and Fester immediately quits moonbathing and digs through his closet for his trusty old magic blaster gun. The family helps, because killing aliens to save the planet sounded like fun. :p
Shh! Don't let facts get in the way of being hateful towards someone who has politics we don't like! /s
#6 reminds me of this:
It's a bit of both. For the leaders, it's an inheritance they're stuck with - because they're also pragmatic. For example, Saudi Arabia has officially hated Israel all this time - but they've also been having secret meetings because Israel has gotten REALLY good at terraforming deserts and other methods of combating climate change. Ever watch Babylon 5? When the Minbari jump on the first excuse they can to end their "holy" war, because they couldn't just say "we done goofed?" It's like that.
The reason they maintain the anti-Israelism (or, and let's be honest, anti-semitism) is because their culture is obsessed with public image and "saving face." They can't just say, "eh... we were wrong, we should never have spent decades trying to wipe out Israel." But Israel helping to take down the IRGC gives them the excuse to "forgive" Israel and embrace Israelis as friends. Then they can be more open about seeking trade deals and getting some of that sweet Israeli technology.
Again, you seem REALLY triggered by the thought of PPE. And in response: I didn't wear the PPE when I got hurt, and that's why I encourage other people to wear the PPE.Also, I encourage anyone who skates (or bikes, or any other dangerous but fun activity) to wear the PPE and follow basic safety practices. I don't care about gender, I care about fewer people spending their lives with serious long term issues.
You seem REALLY triggered by the idea of wearing pads and a helmet.
