I had a conure that liked to chew my shoe laces. Once I could hear his little feet tap on the floor, looked at him, he looked right back at me and then bolted for my shoes while saying 'no' and laughing.

New Achievement: Recommending the book series I'm currently obsessed with! An anti-authoritarian tome but with more explosions and traumatizing pop-culture references, these books are great fun and you are commended for recommending them. Reward: 1 Up vote, Favorite, and comment from me.

Another thing to love about chickadees is that their beaks are too weak to crack most seeds like larger birds. They just fly off with them and hammer them until they make enough or large enough holes that they fall apart. The tenacity on those little peeps!

Also, historically there was a trend to not include anything more than we were sure of in paleo-art, to the extent and early Archaeopteryx was painted without a head because the skulll wasnt found (https://www.shellsandpebbles.com/2014/03/09/headless-chicken/) . Archosaurs and mammals have a key difference that mammals have chewing muscle attachments on the outer surface of the jaw rather than interior. Hence the hippo being so striking, that back most protrusion should have big muscles attached

And that's how basically all human interactions with sharks go, except that the people actually noticed the shark as it passed by.

There is actually lots of evidence in the animal behaviour literature of reptiles preferring to live in social situations and displaying guarding of nests, young, and mates. They display novelty seeking and can have positive associative learning. Most pleasure and memory take place largely in the amygdala and hippocampus which are highly conserved. There will be different degrees of affiliative connections formed for sure, but difference of degree not a lack of capacity.
