Most clinicians focus on short term bc we are interacting with people now who need help. Long term doesn’t help them much.
PhD/MSc work or wet sciences are much more broad regarding timelines from immediate to long term work and progress. 3/
Clinicians are really short term to maybe medium term length of studies and progress (10 yr outcomes etc). 2/
Short term gains are the result of decades of work. People prioritize learning and application based on their exposure 1/
One of the major issues is that the PhD narrow focus to a single receptor isn’t broadly applicable on a daily clinical basis. 2/2
