My point is that it wasn’t a couple of decades ago. Electrons are accepted as fact. They have been observed in the lab, and all behaviour corresponds to theory.

Electrons were proposed in 1897…

When I was a kid I was in an earthquake in Papua and a wooden boardwalk I was on did that wave thing and I rode it while watching the nails pop out like a string of crackers. Being a kid, I thought it was the best ride ever.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it indicates ice too thin to skate on.

I could feel the slump of your shoulders, azitis. You tried. And we applaud you.

Yeah. The trees explode (I wish I was kidding) showering burning oil over about 100m or more if there’s a wind. Adding to that craziness, there is a couple of types of birds here that intentionally pick up burning branches and drop them to spread the fire LOL.

It sounds beautiful in your city! Yes there are many reasons; the Aussie bush (some species of eucalyptus) have evolved to use fire to reproduce, many plant species have high oil content, so they burn very hot and there are many small communities surrounded by*a lot*of bush. The catastrophic rating is there to prepare people. We even call it bushfire season.

We do have a lot of fires. Big ones. I think we’re the only country in the world whose fire threat system goes beyond “extreme” to “catastrophic”

Lol, if Australia didn’t have volunteer firies the country would be black from coast to coast. They get training though, just no pay.
