This is propaganda. His views were rejected by the scientific community because all he presented were statistics, and no actual evidence. It had nothing to do with politics.
My stepdad bought me one of those knives in like 85 or 86. Of course I had to test how sharp it was about 30 mins after getting it and cut the shit out of my finger.

Imagine how those people would even describe this event to younger generations. Imagine how that story would be told and interpreted after being passed down through generation after generation for 3000 years…
