I know that feeling exactly. I lived in a shared apartment with friends from 18 to 30 and I had real anxiety to move out. It took about a week to adjust. I took a lot of walks in the evenings when the empty flat stressed me out.

That guy has problems. Not accepting his gender identity and reacting with hate instead might as well be one of them. What's up with the downvotes? Did the thought of a secretly trans elon trigger too many sensitivities?
