He is forced into his role, unlike Baron Harkonnen, who rates his profit and success as more important than the lives of the people around him and kills for personal gain.

At the end of the day, we can help people, but they need to accept that there's even a problem to fix. This is generally easy to see with alcohol and drugs, adiposity on the other hand is such a sore topic that - in my experience - sufferers feel personally attacked and lash out. Unfortunately, all addictions come down to "control yourself" and judgement free support with that.
This is what the body positivity movement should talk about. Not necessarily the tattooing (which admittedly looks great), but the fact that her scars do not make her less of a woman.

I probably should have read all replies before replying in kind ;) I was indeed not playing the pain olympics, but let's put the fear in perspective and maybe we can eliminate - or at least reduce - it. Irrationally scared is no way to live your life, and since we unfortunately won't be able to get rid of violence, we can temper our feelings of fear to improve our quality of life.

Statistically speaking, your husband is about twice as likely to be attacked as you are. I believe the fear stems the way we're raised - so if you want what he has, you can maybe get a better version if you keep that fact in mind. Try to think positive (but be reasonable and stay out of dangerous situations in the first place, obviously).
