I did. That looks amazing. Where is it from?

Every time people commented on my talent they talked about something I've been doing for decades and was horrible at when I started out.

Don't get discouraged, just do stuff. Talent doesn't really play into it, in my experience.

I was afraid of that, too. My son says I'm wrong. Don't put yourself down because you think you don't possess a skill you have never practiced. You might be a great parent - the fact that you even consider your non-existent child's welfare before your own hints towards it.

Second screenshot. DeepSeek deleted its answer.

I got two screenshots of it.

DeepSeek.com gave me a correct answer including human rights violations with the Uyghurs, then suddenly deleted it and claimed "Sorry, that's beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else.".
This just now was the first time I ever felt like I live in a dystopia. What an unbelievably weird feeling.

That seems like something Javascript would do.

I have the same saber as Nanna Gascoigne, which is remarkable already, but also consider that this is the second time I found a saber buddy on Imgur. Feels weird.

Fellas, cops are still human. Advocating for murder is a morally dangerous way to follow.

You win a PS5 at work, but they don't pay you enough so you can afford a game for it? What the hell?

"It's really your fault that nobody cares for you" is one hell of a take.

Indeed, that is true (see goofy in the goofy movie), but I think you'd be hard pressed to explain, for example, how Paul is "the bad guy" when his whole thing is trying to get out of being the Messiah, unsuccessfully trying to avoid a Jihad and making the best out of it by fighting a powerful group of cruel colonizers. He is forced into his role, unlike Baron Harkonnen, who rates his profit and success as more important than the lives of the people around him and kills for personal gain.

I did read the book and in interested in your take. Who do you believe to be the main antagonist in Dune? Do you believe there is one or do you think there are several?

Do drug addicts claim that their habit is actually healthy?

At the end of the day, we can help people, but they need to accept that there's even a problem to fix. This is generally easy to see with alcohol and drugs, adiposity on the other hand is such a sore topic that - in my experience - sufferers feel personally attacked and lash out. Unfortunately, all addictions come down to "control yourself" and judgement free support with that.

This is what the body positivity movement should talk about. Not necessarily the tattooing (which admittedly looks great), but the fact that her scars do not make her less of a woman.

I'm a dad and I care. I'll gladly give you all the hugs, reassurance, fatherly advice and shitty dad jokes you can use in your life.

I'm German and I vividly remember the whole day, starting with my father opening the door to my room and telling me "They flew into the towers" with no leadup or indication of who they were and what towers he was talking about.

I see you're looking for fight.

My first thought. It was the one puzzle that had no solution in the guide and as a child I wanted that treasure. Feels like it took me an hour to solve.

I probably should have read all replies before replying in kind ;) I was indeed not playing the pain olympics, but let's put the fear in perspective and maybe we can eliminate - or at least reduce - it. Irrationally scared is no way to live your life, and since we unfortunately won't be able to get rid of violence, we can temper our feelings of fear to improve our quality of life.

Admittedly I checked the German numbers, but they seem to be similar the world round. Wikipedia is a good first stop, look up "Violence against men". I learned that it's even called the "Fear of crime gender paradox"!

Statistically speaking, your husband is about twice as likely to be attacked as you are. I believe the fear stems the way we're raised - so if you want what he has, you can maybe get a better version if you keep that fact in mind. Try to think positive (but be reasonable and stay out of dangerous situations in the first place, obviously).

Now downvote away, my friends.

Absolutely. I am German and have the exact same bowl. I have never used it. I have no idea where it came from. It has always been there, and it always will be.
Now that I actually wrote it down, this feels... sinister.

Yeah, can't we put the tax on the school children instead? There's a lot more children than millionaires, so that should bring in more cash and distribute the burden more fairly.
