I suppose to sum it up: the gloves act as a barrier betwixt things coming in contact… the way any gloves do. It kept your finger grease, dirt, germs from your hands off the food and keeps the food off your fingies. Wouldn’t hurt to wash your hands before handling the food with or without gloves. Prolly a good idea to go wash your filthy mitts just because. Now go get some brizzkit and enjoy!

I can vouche. It gets weirder too… the mushroom gives chemical signals to the ants to specify what kind of plants it wants to be fed… even weirder, the plants give off toxins that harm the mushroom organism so that the the ants will stop cutting its leaves. The cycle continues. There’s a documentary about all of this.
