A deep analysis of the bible actually shows that there's more to it... It's hard to see the full forest, you've got to understand lots of stuff. According to the bible, God gave Adam and Eve free will, and with that, they decided they could live without following God's guidance, so he's allowing humanity to prove that right. But not only that, who started all that was Satan, and it involves not only humans but angels. I think we have proven that we can't do it on our own...
If you want an actual answer to that question, it's nothing like that, I've read the Bible myself since it's important to confirm what people tells you... And burn people with fire is not something God, whose name is Jehovah, does... It's not biblical, it's something that was invented by the Catholic Church because fear is a great way of controlling People!
