That there are still people out there unfamiliar even with the Nakba's most basic realities is, I think, why groups like AIPAC have such a stranglehold on Congress. Some people are irretrievably committed to the end-times fanaticism that prevents critical evaluation of Israel's activities but there are a lot of people who I think/hope would be MUCH more outraged by the way Zionist foreign policy manipulates politics (America's in particular) if they knew what it looks like when truly unchecked.
