Working in fast food for a single day brings far more value to society than Shapiro has in his entire career.

Shapiro is just giving cover the rich to continue to underpay people. We even say a few year back with COVID that the lowest paid members of society are the most critical to keep everything running. And this is part of what has been an aggressive campaign over the last ~5 years to suppress the tiny amount of power the working class has been able to exercise.

"Experts are Dubious" is the worst fucking framing for this shit. This obviously never happened and news media should be willing and able to call out overt falsehoods.

Inflation declining =/ prices declining

No, it means that even with the right gene the mission was incredibly dangerous.

Also, the character had the credentials that would qualify one to enter astronaut training in real life.

Serious response, it depends on the state. In 2018 Florida passed an amendment that allows convicted felons to vote in elections.

Maybe we need to make it sound more futuristic so tech billionaires will think it's cool. Like, maybe instead of calling them solar panels we call them cosmic radiation power plants?

Nah, fuck them, they're all his people and worked to put him in this position.

That's what happens when measures are taken to reduce inflation. Everyone was screaming about the cost of living going up too fast, but the policy actions that are taken to slow inflation are the exact same ones that put people out of work.

Declaring "wartime" to suspend elections isn't a thing that exists in the US. We even held elections in the middle of our civil war. I do not know why people keep insisting that there is a legal mechanism for this to happen.

Both California and New York have very large public university systems with a lot of high-profile private institutions.

They'd find other bullshit to get mad over. Like, is hating another human for having brown skin any more ridiculous than hating another human for having green eyes or even attached earlobes?

We'll name the cities after him as well

This is the real reason why there's such a big push for AI. It concentrates more power in the hands of a few elites. It doesn't matter if the output of the programs are mediocre slop, they want you to accept it so that they can push forward towards technofeudalism

Lots of them exist, especially if you're willing to look outside of games made in the last 10 years.

Ah, that makes sense. So they have the right to do it, but often elect not to as it is unnecessary.

When did they start checking phones? I regularly went into Canada pre-COVID and not once did they ask for my phone. Honestly, even as an American citizen the Canadian border agents were always better to deal with than the American ones.

For reference, this is where Minnie Driver shows up in the files. A celebrity being mentioned in a DailyMail article that Epstein or an associate appeared to have printed off does not mean they were a part of Epstein's pedophile ring.

This is where she appears. It's meaningless.

Or this example, where a publicist sends Epstein an email to gossip about Lucas. Only worth bringing up as a 'gotcha' tactic.

Yeah, turns out that even if you eat meat that vegetables can also be tasty.

This is why there are trials for use of new technologies in medicine. Unfortunately, every test does have false negatives and false positives, so part of their purpose is to determine what that rate is so that clinicians can best determine when different methods be used based upon individual patient needs.

"Big Health" he works for the Spanish government, what are you talking about?

Sadly it's not uncommon for an intervention that works in rodents to fail in humans. It's a very real problem that nobody has a solution to yet. But even the failures help move the field forward and better improve future efforts. At least, as long as institutions like governments and businesses continue to fund efforts like this.

I'll believe it when I see them actually do it

If only the police had the power to arrest them.

All this while universities are slashing or suspending graduate school admissions (such as https://www.michigandaily.com/news/news-briefs/umich-cancels-doctoral-epidemiology-program-admissions-for-2026/), federal scientists are being laid off, and the biotech sector has been laying off thousands of people. But it's okay, we have exciting opportunities at ICE to brutalize your neighbors.
