I actually worked wildlife rescue & rehab, and rescuers definitely go out into nature to perform rescues, so... no? Your logic leaps are olympics-worthy.

"Just leave it there to slowly die" is your legitimate take?

Those poor animals are disasters

"Your question is invalid because I don't want to know the answer" is sure a take. It's curiosity and it's actually not illegal.

I know the blue isn't QUITE teal enough, but still. Whiplash

Space stations in No Man's Sky have random color schemes. This one, just yesterday, reminded me of that stupid cup and those windbreakers.

Is it a real accent? I always wonder if he's hamming it up super extra for views

That looks like a snowshoe cat, but god i love the colors. He (she?) looks SO chill too

You'd have to go back to the 1700s and take it up with settlers

Call a wildlife rescue/rehabber. The bird will likely die without a full round of antibiotics: cats are the #1 cause of death of songbirds in much of the world, on the order of *billions* of birds/year in the US and UK apiece. The bacteria in their mouths/on their claws will usually kill animals with even a small scratch. + that bird deserves a chance to recover & live wild.

Cats should be indoors regardless, b/c of this threat to wildlife along with a lifespan *years* lower than indoor cats.

They're evolutionarily attractive to us as an easy caloric source, which is great in survival situations and not great when we can buy a loaf of white bread and eat a bunch of it whenever.

Obesity is a huge issue in countries with "low fat" crazes and higher sugar consumption, interlinked, and in part it's the grain/cereal industry having lobbied for grains to replace vegetables as what *should* have been the bottom layer of the food pyramid way back when.

I'm absolutely amazed that you think "gluten allergy" is fake, somehow. It's not new, and it's pretty fucking serious for people who have it. Educate yourself before posting absolute garbage. It's a Google search away.

overeating causes a ton of health issues along with "low fat" not actually being a great health choice at all.

You don't need to put a tinfoil hat on for the first part of that; it's very well-known. You can actually get deadly intestinal flora infections from antibiotic treatment: C. diff will flourish and fuck you right up.

The IBS etc. is more the tinfoil hat bit. We don't really know yet, ofc. But I don't think it's "demonization" to recognize that the food pyramids were bought & paid for, that veggies were meant to be the bottom layer before cereal lobbies got their money into it, and that carb-

Not really. More about how much we have, if any. Some people respond SUPER well to cutting out certain or all grains, and others not at all. Lots of people also respond well to periods of fasting, with a number of health benefits in investigation, but outside Ramadan there's no real modern fasting periods.

I never felt better than when I was in full ketosis. Wasn't hungry, had energy for DAYS, my sleep cycle normalized, my mood stayed fantastic. Unfortunately I have an S/O who does not like doing it, and 0 self-control when chocolate is in the house, lol.

Feels like yesterday to me

I don't think this is wildlife. That's not a baby of the same species, unless it's AI; it looks like two different species (usually young birds are the same size as adults by the time they have real feathers). So I'm ASSUMING captive. Or AI.

Is this all AI?

1 day ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I suspect it is AI. I'd be happy to be proven wrong but belugas are pretty big, and saltwater and this looks like a lake

1 day ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think it's AI. It looks like a lake, and Beluga whales are both saltwater creatures and much, much bigger. Unless there's crazy angles going on here I imagine it's just fake.

#1 has got to be AI, right? That looks like a lake and belugas are fucking huge.

For those unaware, NMS just introduced essentially an entire Pokemon battling system along with a pet roster expansion. Wild creatures come with randomized stats per species, you can genetically edit them after inducing eggs, train them up, and fight them against NPCs and players (in simulations, they don't get hurt). It's STUPIDLY fun.

I'm wondering if this is specifically training to find someone underwater already, since he keeps dipping down with his face facing downward too

1 day ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not only that, but it's *training.* Could be any number of things, from someone just starting off to conditioning etc.

No problem!

The cat's digging in paper napkins, so it kinda is... Unless you're throwing them all out after, which is then just a real waste lol
