They are still working because they can be repaired with fairly common electromechanical components. Also you can still get long lasting appliances today it’s just it will cost you and they are not at the box stores. We got a new dryer at a real appliance store and it’s nice and dumb, you wont find that at BestBuy or Home Depot.
