I am certainly not religious scholar, but my understanding is the Christian god is the same as the Jewish god they just believe the savior hasn't come yet. So fair or not my brain tends to link the two in general philosophy
Atheists weren't given a tax haven to come together as a community and pool resources with the expectation that they will help and better the greater community. Even if they're more willing they simple don't have the same structure to get it done, and also didn't promise they would.
That's still a insane take. It means god purposely made atheists, knowing he will banish them to hell for eternity for not believing, just to teach his favorite people a lesson.
Tell that to my local Catholics. They squeeze every penny they can out of our community to run back into their brainwashing school. They also had their congregation show up at city council to block the purchase of a neighboring building (that they had built and sold decades ago) to start a half way house, and have since torn it down because they "dont want those types of people in there community". Dont forget the anti abortion BS they cover our town in.
They need to stream it, no way I'm getting out there but I'd pay to watch and I know I'm not the only one. Raise a bunch more money.
I lived in Texas for awhile, all horse people don't fit that bill. There are plenty of people who move down there and buy horses and longhorns because "omg its texas we need a ranch" and then abuse the crap out of the animals either through lack of knowledge, neglect, anger or just running out of money cause they didn't realize how expensive it is. This horse is pretty assuredly safe from that thoug lh thankfully.
Every single one makes a difference. As someone who lives rural surrounded by Trumpers, I meet people who felt helpless everytime I go. Yes we get heard at these, but this is also where we network and support each other. Things go terrible that networking will be how we know who we can trust. And judging by the way counter protesters were foaming at the mouth at my protest, its having an effect on them.
Use your common sense, do what you can in your situation. I live surrounded my these idiot cause I live rural, I challenge their thinking whenever they're being reasonable or in local politics and tell the others to fuck off, no more avoiding the subject or them. I drive to as many protests as I can, and I make that a priority. I support the people they're targeting. On my own, I make little difference, but if everyone stepped up just a bit more, that'll move the needle.

If the shut down carries on and people eventually lose their jobs and healthcare, farmers losing farms in mass,I expect things will get a more active. Sorry you apparently had terrible teachers, but any real creative writing teacher would gladly fairly grade a paper about the thoughts, life flashing before there eyes etc as they fell to the ground.
