The comparison is Apollo 8 not Apollo 11.

I think it's also a problem with how your car centric society works. We buy bread from a bakery which doesn't have all the crap in it. However if I went to the chain supermarket the bread there is closer to American bread(not as sweat). But many Americans don't have easy access to a proper bakery.

I have just finished 'flybot' and "The singularity trap" both were quick easy reads, but we're not as fun a Bobiverse. They aren't bad books, but there are many other books I would recommend before them

It's the same end. One is the explanation of why they are like that, OP is bitching that we give them a pass on the why.

That would be their personal insurance in this case. However the pension fund would be good because it means the cops should police each other, but you know it would just be even stronger protection of each other.

I like that plan. Max 8 corners or something.

Also cost. It's cheaper to put a road on the ground than tunnels, cuts and bridges to make it viable.

Knowing the amount that exit religion or a less stringent in their beliefs. I do wonder about the genetics behind it, are they more susceptible to cults etc.

That is a negative stigma, the stigma that you think you will be assaulted on public transport. Over 500 people a year are shot in road rage incidents, that does not include any other assaults.

Don't worry the Australian government will continue to lick your balls.

There is a middle ground which is acceptable. For example, moving away from volatile fossil fuel energy generation to renewables. It reduces reliance on others but others still make the panels and turbines.

It really reminds me of "sci-fi" from the 80s.

The main issue is the grid for those without solar. Gas prices will spike causing gas plant electricity prices to go up.

There is no possible way to provide enough roads/parking in a large city for everyone to drive their own car. Providing better public transport is the only option. Taxing the use of the road to provide the better transport is a good government policy.

It does not include a defence pact.

Meh, they are not liked internally but most of those grievances are caused by the sanctions and propaganda. The ones wanting more religious freedoms are really the only ones that are not directly caused by USA actions.

While I agree it's not good. If your police force wasn't massively corrupt and faced actual consequences, it wouldn't be so bad. But I don't expect that to ever happen.

The only part so far it's been useful for is writing doco, either design or presentations(just expanding on the 2 lines I have written so it looks better). All tech things it fails at.

The best question to ask is "how will we make money with AI". The answer is always less staff, that is not making money it's reducing costs. If there is nothing to sell and the clients can "just use AI" then what are they paying IT companies for.

It's funny, people bitched that games weren't backwards compatible when moving to PS4 from PS3. Then now they bitch that there are no games for PS5 because they are also available on PS4(with worse graphics). They blasted PlayStation for signing exclusive deals, now they don't have them and they bitch there is no exclusives. It has been weird to watch. Main issue is games take longer to make now and they stopped making their AA games. But complaining about no exclusives, it's what people wanted.

Yeah pretty much if I can google the script and somebody has already posted it, then it can do it. But if it needs to write it itself or merge a few together then it just hallucinates and makes shit up

Nearly every time I ask it for PowerShell scripts, it fails, just makes up commands. You would think that copilot would be better for PS scripting but nope. Still just random commands that don't exist.

Bonds are only useful if the dollar holds or appreciates. As you get a fixed payout, however if you get a fixed 5% then the dollar dropped 10% you actually lost money.
