AUSSIES!!! I have one although she hasn't been that small for years.
One of the main reasons for docking the tails of herding dogs is to prevent them from common pack hunting tactics used by coyotes and wolves. One coyote will keep the dog's attention while another one circles around back and bites down on the dog's tail. This distracts and limit's the dog's ability to fight back and allows the first coyote (and others) to better take the dog down.

In Bilibili's defense, they did obtain the rights to develop a game using the RWBY IP in 2015 this is a legit thing. I did watch some of the game-play though and it doesn't look particularly impressive. It's just a side scrolling beat-em-up.

The ship was going into the yards and most of the ammo was older. It was quicker and cheaper to just shoot it than to offload it at the pier and then dispose of it later.
I'm in the Navy. On one deployment, our CO was told that he was not allowed to come back to port with any munitions that were not missiles. As a result, we had a SHOOTEX day where we shot everything from the small arms to the 5-inch cannon. We allowed people to sign up to push the button to fire the 5-inch cannon or the 55-mm auto cannons. The CO started the day by going on the 1MC and announcing "ARE YOU READY TO WASTE SOME TAX DOLLARS!!!"
