That logic is flawed though. We actually want them buying yachts. We want them buying anything and spending as much money as possible. That puts the money back into the economy. What we really need is to stop them from hoarding wealth. When we had high tax rates on the rich (70+%), there were huge loopholes that forced them to reinvest their wealth. Over the years, the loopholes stayed, but the high tax rates didn't.

Most places where people share similar religious and/or political opinions often just devolve into echo chambers. The imgur front page is a perfect example of this (compared to what it was 10 years ago). It's an unfortunate trait of human psychology to seek bias that aligns with your own and not interactions that challenge you and help you evolve.

I miss when the front page was mostly entertainment and not a political echo-chamber/circle-jerk. I'm not complaining about the political sentiment either. I agree with it. I just miss when imgur had mostly laughs, entertainment, and a sense of community.

Not only did they decide you don't deserve it, they took money from you in taxes to pay for those bombs.

David Coverdale could incinerate a venue with his voice and smolder alone. He just chooses not too.

Frankly, I've never fully understood how these reports link policy to the outcomes. It just seems like there are so many other variables that play into it. As an example, it seems like the impacts of Covid would skew many metrics regardless of what policies where put into place over that time period.

The argument I encounter most frequently is that it will degrade the quality of medical care and cause long wait times for treatment in some cases.
