Especially out of the blue, when everyone had finally mostly stopped talking about it. Like, there was seemingly *nothing* new Epstein-related going on--especially anything involving/naming her--and she randomly decided to hold a press conference and announce without prompting that she wasn't friends with him.

My mom's cousin bought a house in Potrero Hill in SF in the '60s for under $30k. Sold it a couple years back when her husband had to go into assisted living. Got *$1.7 million* for it. Not even that nice of a house, the real estate market there is just insane.

We've also already lost more aircraft than during the entirety of Afghanistan/Iraq II, including the first two jets shot down in combat in over 20 years (both on the *same day*, over a full week after TFG claimed Iran's air defenses were "completely gone"), and have had more strikes on US bases in the area in the last 3 weeks than in any single *year* during the Bush wars.
I remember there was some show *years* ago, think it was one of the late night talk shows, or maybe Daily Show, that had someone go to an upscale restaurant and ask a bunch of the diners super simple questions about history/government, and barely any of them could answer. Then they went into the back, and the (nearly entirely minority, and probably also nearly entirely immigrant) kitchen staff were *all* able to easily answer everything.

Said it before in another post awhile back about good movie devils, but the part that *nails* it for me is how good a job he does at making this Satan feel like something that was *never* human, and isn't really trying too hard to act like one. It's just so subtlety upsetting, and it works perfectly.
I think it's actually a Kong feeder toy, but one that's meant for a *much* smaller dog. They're that same red, and same shape, and you usually put like treats or paste in the hollow middle.
He also famously didn't even have an email account, not even an official government one. He was like 80+ years old and lived out in the middle of Alaska (he actually died partially because of how out of touch with...basically everything he was; he died in a small plane crash flying to an Alaskan hunting lodge).

Reminder that the *total* amount of US aid to Ukraine (not just military equipment, but everything we've given them) since they were invaded amounts to roughly $50 billion dollars, over five years. Meanwhile, the current war in Iran has cost an estimated $25 billion dollars in less than three *weeks*, and the military just yesterday said they were planning to ask congress for another $200 billion to be earmarked for it.

Meanwhile she killed her husband because she was having an affair, and wanted to marry the new guy without having to pay alimony, and was also in a ton of debt so took out a bunch of life insurance claims on him without telling him before poisoning him, to kill two birds with one stone.
The generation that wanted $15 an hour isn't this one. I entered the workforce in 200-goddamn-9 and people were already pushing for that amount. It's *way* below what you currently need as a survivable minimum wage.
Gonna guess it's eating some kind of parasite, like a tapeworm or something. Ibis reaching into its butt might be uncomfortable, but probably a lot less than the level of uncomfortable that whatever it's eating is causing the deer.
A really bad time. TFG has already cut a ton of military aid for no real reason other than "Zelenskyy didn't ask me nicely enough", so you can bet he'll use this as an excuse to cut back even more. And on top of that, he's been easing sanctions on Russian oil because of the clusterfuck at Hormuz, giving Putin a huge economic boost at the same time.

It's so, so much cheaper to build a missile (or a drone) that just has to go a certain distance and then explode roughly where you need it than to build missile defenses. Like 5-10x less per shot on average. Also way easier to hide and move around. The dome defenses have legit done some impressive work, but they're gonna run out of counter-ordinance *way* before Iran runs out of cheap missiles to huck at them. My guess is he's planning to "only" invade their islands in the strait. He just bragged about a heavy bombing run on their defensive positions there. Probably thinks if he can take them, he can force the strait to reopen, and also keep claiming he didn't *technically* send troops to (mainland) Iran. Which *also* probably won't work.
