Yasuke isn't exactly super documented historically, close enough to being a blank slate while also being a unique/special figure historically. If there was no African historical figure and they added one they would have to explain it, I assume they used him for the character because they can point to him existing as proof that the character could exist in the games setting... They get to have a character that is very unique in the world and who certainly existed.
Wouldn't it make the most sense to use the most interesting characters for main characters? Noone wants to play the game as the average person from the setting, they want to play a character that is special and different in some way. Also AC games afaik have as a rule never had a historically significant playable character, the historically significant characters are all NPCs/minor so you can meet these people. Yasuke's one of the most unique people in the setting so makes a perfect choice.
Different situations, putting all the blame on Bush for Iraq lets too many people off the hook imo, the whole US government at the time shares the blame for those actions.

What does the author claim in this internet sensation that’s so outrageous? Well, not much. That particular video/gif are actually fairly inoffensive, to my mind. The most basic notion that the planets trace helical paths through space is perfectly correct. What honestly surprises me is that this is so incredibly popular on the internet. If you weren’t aware that the Sun orbits the center of the galaxy — which, since the planets orbit it, necessitates that they trace out helical paths
