Unfortunately that is not the answer, as that will only make them worse. Only option is to stop buying their ware till they are dead.
it is the Obvious choice for a fuel. make it from water, when you burn it it turns back into water with no byproducts inbetween
at twice its scrap cost now that would make for less than 5 cents per mile or approx half cost of hydrocarbons. and there is no "waste"
also infinitely recyclable.
if you include the storage/transport/etc. For hydrogen in a car 450 lb of aluminum "fuel" could go something like 10K miles IIRC.
obviously not recommended by manu.
Honda Civic CNG will run on hydrogen as it is, and can technically be fueled at any hydrogen station - several in cali now.
it is physically impossible for hydrogen to "blow up" (it implodes) also much less dangerous than gasoline in normal conditions
This is why our cars should be burning hydrogen which is clean to produce, "clean" burning and can run anything that currently uses gasoline
