It's like he formed his entire idea of how governance works by watching only the bad Star Wars movies.
It's crazy, the US president is somehow managing to act like the perfect asset for like 5 entirely different foreign countries all at once.
In my experience, people who just stand around looking smug and uncaring while other people are upset over something are usually the problem.
It's more the whole "Seeing two people having an argument and automatically assuming it's the woman who must be wrong" thing that I have issue with.

There's a very simple reason both parties try to court conservatives. It's because conservatives always vote. If progressives want to be catered to, they need to make themselves into a more appealing demographic for politicians. They need to vote just as often, and in greater numbers. Make yourself into a group that consistently determines the results of elections, and watch politicians trip over themselves to appease you.
