For lengthy replies, I've been using this to enumerate: http://www.patrickheney.com/text-splitter/ (by https://imgur.com/user/ImgurIsOutOfUsernames)

The 6th tenet seems counterproductive, since the majority of chindōgu are clearly deliberate jokes.

"...chindōgu must not have been created for purposes of humour alone: humour is merely the by-product"

There's no need for a [sic] because it's literally a direct reference to the book. When burying your dead at the desecrated burial ground, they are resurrected in a corrupted manner.

They're literally saying that Stephen Miller is the result of using the titular Pet Sematary, not just any pet cemetery. He's the profane manifestation of a dildo.

I'm sure if he's an official tour guide, he's aware of the vault and the ongoing releases of Prince's previously unreleased material by his estate.

The title of the novel refers to a pet cemetery with a sign created by children. The misspelling is intentional because the kids are only partially literate.

I miss being able to do that loudly with those seats. I did the left then right twist cracks, then an arched back crack. With my mouth open as a resonant chamber, I managed to wake people up with the volume.

The bat bite was almost 2 years ago. The spider bite was this week.

He was designed with a beard, so a bunch of concept art with him shows it. It didn't translate well to the sprite so they left it out. Characters with beards (like Banon) tend to be shown with much fuller ones.

#15 I have not enjoyed Wendy's since they fucked up the menu post-Dave.

Same. I actually wore it for the first time in decades on St. Patrick's Day because the stone is green. Had to stick it on my pinky, though.

Yeah, I've never seen a brightly-lit Spencer's, and I think the first one I saw was mid-late '80s. This one had me staring in confusion.

Reminded me of playing EverQuest on an old PC with the far clip plane set to minimum. Surrounded by shadow, with just a small visible area, shit would just appear a lot closer than you expected.

Coeliac disease has been known since millennia BCE. Gluten was identified as a problem in the 1950s.

Alarm spiked in the '00s because society had started taking things like allergies seriously (note the similar increase in peanut allergy awareness). More people are diagnosed with coeliac disease now because people know to test for it and blood tests are routine.

Gluten sensitivity is serious and affects a lot of people, just not the majority of us. It's still suspected to be underdiagnosed.

No. Stop accusing everything of being AI. It doesn't make you look in the know. It just confuses people more and everyone suspects everyday things of being fake.

It's the Yoshi egg with the red flower soap inside. There are 4 colored gummy soaps. This clip cut the reveal of the soap out.

I hate that my dad insists on me buying 2 bolillos at a time from the store. They're held in a large self-serve box. A sign says to use alcohol disinfectant before grabbing the bread, but there is no disinfectant dispenser. The alternate option is across the aisle. Prepackaged bags of 4. Same bakery, no customer taint. But no, he wants 2 at a time, bought every other day...

Another layer of fun to this is how confused some people will get when you tell them that things from Naples aren't Italian.

There are other countries that aren't part of it. Burundi and the Philippines have both withdrawn. The Gambia and South Africa have both declared intent and then rescinded their withdrawals. Hungary's withdrawal goes into effect this June.

Notably, the Philippines has not been party to the Rome Statute since 2019, but still cooperated with Duterte's arrest and detention in The Hague.

How about in cases where a member of NATO invades another member of NATO? The only reason we have military presence in Greenland is that Denmark allowed it. Trump keeps floating the idea of taking over Greenland and Canada.

I'm okay with lenience for 2016 one time voters. A lot of people habitually didn't really listen to the scandal reports and thought (reasonably) that if all the awful shit being said about Trump were true, that he wouldn't have been allowed to star in a TV series and run businesses for decades. Most non-NY area voters were unfamiliar with his practices. Some thought an underdog shakeup was worth a shot.

After experiencing his 1st term, anyone who still voted for him is trash. Plain and simple.
