Exactly. It's the swing from socialism to individual greed, and eventually will swing back to socialism...there will be a generation in future that will say "universal health care - too expensive, cut taxes now" and then we'll have Boomer V2.
As much as he seems capable of that - looks like (in a nutshell) it was a rumour generated from a meme - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beck_v._Eiland-Hall
Twinned with Epstein Island.
Also known as "one in the pink, one in the stink"
Same. I communicated through grunts and crying until I was 4 and then I started talking. Now at 38 I do a presentations a lot for work, which my parents probably wouldn't believe if I went back in time and told them that. Though I still grunt and cry during them.
Yep. And reliance on volume of demand / tips = more incentive to spend time working versus a fixed income of a coal miner = less incentive to be at home with a daughter looking after them. Again - gut feel as this may not be true, but feels likely.
You can get a night nanny. Although at 10pm saying "hey I'm going out will be back at 6am" wearing next-to-nothing will probably put a lot of nannies off.
Fairly sure you're more likely to be looked after better by a miner as a parent than a prostitute. I also cannot explain the logic. But just a gut feel.
Just pointing out - couldn't find a single source for the claim made. Official job postings seem to require a fair bit of experience as you "work upwards" through the pay grade scale - e.g. 52 weeks at the pay grade beneath the advertised role. The most entry level role was about $27k.
I didn't realise it till just now but I guess I'm a latchkey kid. Walk home from school, make a snack, play games, worry about my parents (rather than other way round).
O...M...G...literally perfect. So perfect I'd have sex with it. The mango is ok too.
Also the dog's ear looks odd.
I'd argue an American will probably pretend to do it as well, just a foreigner is cheaper. I'm sure quality wasn't anywhere near the top of the list of considerations for moving off shore - points 1 to 10 were along the lines of "reduced Operating Costs", "improved margins", "reduced labour costs", "increased volume of support without financial impact", "unlocks future investment funds", "deliver value to shareholders", "improves competitiveness" etc.
I commented about a year ago about this (not with evidence like OP, but just based on the vote numbers I could see on front page posts) and it definitely seemed like the user count dropped a lot...I was down voted to hell. Though I did use a phrase along the lines of "Imgur seems to be dying" which maybe triggered the red arrows.
#2 the UK has stronger equality and diversity laws to stop wage imbalance. More money means (usually) a healthier lifestyle. But there is still a fair bit of underlying bias against black people, less so with other races. Though I think the US has more "overlying" bias. I think I'd prefer the US's way because at least you know if you're dealing with a racist, rather than guessing if they secretly don't like you.
A pirate but with modern hygiene awareness. So I'd carry barrels of clean water, and pots to boil water and cook stuff in. To avoid the scuurrrrvy. Yarr.
I don't get this.
True. I do remember becoming a master in repair so I only carried one hammer (and boosted stats). And I did read about the simplified levelling in the remaster. No doubt I'll be getting the remaster!
I want the remaster...a lot. More than I care to admit. But when I go back to older TES games I realised I'm that Bethesda fan who prefers Skyrim and everything after that - those gameplay tweaks. No item repairs, simpler levelling and stats. Versus the Oblivion, FO3 era. Though I'm a mainstream shill, which explains my taste :)
Both are talented.

Nah it's funnier this way. Some people like to think they're better at things than others (even if they're not)...I'm assuming that's the missing context.
Corporate world is just a mafia. Look at the deaths of two people who sold Autonomy to HP (which lost HP billions im the end)...the day after the court case acquitted both of them. One of them died on 19th August when his yacht sank, the other died on the same day after getting hit by a car.
Bring him to the UK and he can help me finish this bottle of gin right now.
