You can avoid the floor issue if you seal the wood. Plastikote make a non-toxic gloss pot enamel paint that is recommended for this

Wood was kiln dried pine. Pine has phenols in it that is bad if ingested, however kiln drying reduces the amount of phenols massively.
Only one part of the internal structure got heavily chewed, but because its all held together with screws, individual parts can be replaced
I replaced the mesh on the front and back with clear acrylic & made a hinged wood/mesh lid.
Really well actually. Has had 3 generations of gerbils in it to date. Although the floors had to be replaced as they got a it wee stained

Really gamedev is very accessible as a hobby these days thanks to modern engines.
If you have a dev background unity & C# is a great starting point. If programming is new to you then Godot or Game Maker are more accessible
There are easier/simpler engines; Godot, Game Maker etc. But as you're already a Dev an established mature language might less frustrating
As your already a Dev your in a good place. I'd suggest working with an engine to start with. Unity + C# might be a good starting point
As some one who started gamedev a couple of years ago it's really just a case of starting. Pick a tool do some tutorials go from there
I always get told "we'll keep your application on file for future roles", but this is the first time I've heard it actually happening
I've ran a few Facebook ad campaigns before. You set the budget and target an audience and it keeps running until the budget runs out.
Just don't. Most will understand a simple "i don't work for free". I'll give my friends better rates, but always insist on payment.
Employers should care about the work that is done, not the time that is spent in the office.

Theres a setting to turn off the app pop up on mobile, in the menu. "Ask To Open In App (On)"
They'll be fan edits online using Deadpool voice line in no time I reckon
The flick on a lowercase a, the acender on a lowercase t, and the kick on a capital R are the easiest differences to spot.
