I would argue that regulating the algorithms would be a more direct and less destructive way to reduce social media harm but I am torn on this. Engagement based algorithms are really the bigger problem. Algorithms based on relevancy would be far less destructive and accomplish similar stuff. As well pushing stuff to the bottom that's divisive or disliked, which modern algorithms could easily do but instead they elevate it because of engagement.
The most hopeful thing I heard today was honestly trump saying in his victory speech that he was sad to be done with his last rally ever, hinting that he was content with one more term in the context of when he was saying it. I totally imagine he'll try to push a family member out as a successor and even though he's a symptom of a larger problem it's not obvious his base will show the same respect to someone not him. Gotta find some hope to hold onto or else there's nothing.
This is a more accurate take. I think. What happens to women could be scary but isn't guaranteed and trump is aiming for basically a second trail of tears with latin Americans this time. We have to stay vigilant and make sure we protest and show up in 2026. America has survived this type of political environment before... This country has had lots of periods of backsliding and lots of periods that were less than free.
He's a rapist.... He even raped his first wife and tried to argue that a man can't rape their wife....
More like a swing states really. Being in a red state I can say things are pretty calm here.
Couldn't possibly be Canadian... Why is he not holding Tim Horton's?
Always good to know you're not alone... I guess
I mean she's a billionaire. How is that an insult, even if she identified as male and had a dick ... I'd suck a dick for a billion dollars. You'd be a fool not to. Not sure how this is even an insult.
Tbf that's what it's like in most of the US. But there are places.

I hate piece the shit but I will mention it does look very wimdy
I have neighbors with one. I'm glad I have a big dog. I also don't clean up my dog's shit when he shits in their yard on a walk. I've thought about moving some of his shit to their yard too.
I saw that as Nixon being rewarded for stepping down on his own. Like man, if I were president I'd offer trump a pardon to leave politics immediately, way faster solution than the courts and still solves the biggest problem with him
I love this ๐. Such a Karen. Though let's be real, if she were black she'd have like 20 bullet holes in her for that level of resistance.
I don't know, people are fixating on national polls which are pretty irrelevant. State level polling shows a pretty clear favorite. The national media is going to cherry pick because they make money on controversy, it's not about politics it's about clicks.
TBH that was a more clear policy position than anything he's said in the last month.
Also Neil Cavuto isn't really representative of Fox News. He's one of the old guards on there, similar to Chris Wallace. He's definitely a staunch conservative but he's not a fascist.
I saw this and immediately thought "person, woman, man, Kamala, TV"
Can childless dog dads join?
As I recall his views on immigration were almost progressive relative to modern Republicans and Democrats. It was one of the things that he was legit right on. He got skewered by his own party trying to make citizens out of a large number of illegal immigrants. His view was making illegal immigrants legal solves a ton of problems that illegal immigration creates, for example taxes, and he was just right.
All I could notice really
They said the friends were supportive not that they completed their diet. Analogy still works.
I guess beating someone to death with a Yo-Yo.
Balls of steel
