The world needs more "haha" and even more nuance.
When imgur started looking like vidjur and started "unmuting", it was a real head-scratching moment for me. I guess videos are sequences of images, right, so animated gifs still fits the bill, but sound is not img.
4 legs, 4 arms, 2 heads and lumbering like a sleep paralysis demon. I think I still would, just... how?
If not for stabshooting people, then stabshooting game, i guess? The normalization of violence in a civilized world is very backwards.
FWIW I don't know how or why people minimize any of the quantifiable evils of which he has participated. But this is a seriously off-brand tweet for HRRRRRRRRRK (this is his name now). This wasn't the illusion of solidarity, power, or patriotism which plays to their base so easily, just simply the horrible rich kid whining about not getting the lunch money (oil and submission) from the brown kid he punched (Iran)... if not just part of market manipulation.

I've often contended that if you have to play the game outside of the game, you didn't package your game to be playable by itself, and therefore isn't much fun. I don't want to trawl the wikis or require a statmax or get chewed out by anyone because I didn't do those things before a raid. What's the point of having a "character" without any "character"?
This is a poor solution. Okay, so you get a dumb phone. How long does that solution last? They change the rules (which costs nothing) while they force you to back up to the corner, again and again. While you're whittling your cash away, you end up having less and less resources to defend yourselves against this BS. Aim higher than "throw money at the problem". Aim for multipliers like enhancing general education (focus on civics), drafting & proposing regulations, even on grassroots level.
One should clarify that "well spoken" is not a blanket statement for this kind of thing. People can be well spoken and allow it to be commented on, but context can matter for ANY comment which talks up someone who would normally be talked down.

The "apologies" that come after that blatant display of hatred and antagonistic behavior are classic Schrödinger's D-bag. If nobody called him out or pressed charges, he would have walked away satisfied. There's little to no chance that someone that invested in hate has a developed enough sense of remorse.
If inaction keeps me from shooting the right choice in its own foot, I'll stay the hell out of it. If I can do no good for something, inaction is a perfectly acceptable alternative. I have been in situations where the best thing to do was *nothing*...not because I didn't care, but because all the options I had available to me were ineffective and a waste of everyone's time. I'll reserve the right to hold out with inaction until I find a better path, and I won't be shamed.
#2 - Saying that political non-involvement immediately equals some kind of negative is a dangerous rhetoric, when the concept of justice is nebulous, and something that varies based on perspective. In fact, it would be wise for some to refuse, if they can not comprehend the topic well. Refusal to engage also can be valid for personal reasons (such as triggers, stress levels, or time constraints). Making sweeping statements like this is how we begin misunderstandings, not solve them.
I should note that these are my armchair economic opinions, not an expert.
#1 The earth is a finite resource. It can not sustain infinite growth. A core strategy of continual growth, even from a market perspective, is unsustainable (both amount of consumers and consumer assets are finite). Imagine if Amazon became EVERYTHING, all your wal-marts, targets, your mom&pops, everything. If it has 100% of the market's needs and wants being met, it can not squeeze any more out of that. Infinite growth is simply impossible. They should know math, so what is it really? Power.
Cue the landlords seeking a loophole where they buy up a bunch of properties, combine them into one "multi-dwelling property" and skirt the law because who cares about the intent of regulation, right? :\
