IMO the goal of the wealthy elites and other authoritarian-inclined leaders has always been the loss of critical thinking skills by the regulars. They have strangled education spending for decades for this very reason. A less critical audience is easier to convince and dominate, with propaganda and misinformation. Cue RFK Jr going to the health department, the disinformation is pouring out of HHS.
