When I looked on the Lenovo website, there were no Linux drivers. It just has Intel graphics, so Nvidia isn't going to do anything. When I use the driver manager in Mint it says no drivers needed
Performance isnt really bad, but video playback on Youtube or whatever is sometimes a bit laggy. that never happened with Windows. The laptop has a Core i7, it shouldnt have any issue with that. The other issue was it made the laptop speakers sound terrible until I was able to find a way to make it attempt to replicate the Dolby Atmos sound driver from Windows. Its not as good, but it doesnt sound terrible anymore.
I installed Mint on my laptop when Windows 10 support ended. It is ok, but it definitely performs worse than Windows.
Yes, more of this kind of thing
Reminds me of "The sound of children screaming has been removed"
After this mission are they planning to land on the moon again?
I didn't know that kind of car wash still existed. For a long time I've only seen the touchless ones that only use high pressure water
Looking again now, it is a 4th generation X1 Carbon. It is a very nice laptop, which is why I want to extend its life as long as possible.
You mean Lenovo? IBM stopped making the Thinkpad a long time ago
I also have a Thinkpad X1. I don't remember what generation, but its not new enough for Windows 11.i put Mint on it back in October and it is definitely worse than Windows. Performance is worse, video playback lags sometimes. The speakers sounded terrible until I found a weird work around to try to emulate the dolby atmos sound profile from Windows, but even then the speakers aren't as good. The fingerprint sensor is also incompatible. I want to luke Mint, but its definitely a downgrade.
I don't think there will be any refunds. He doesn't want to give away any money
In Australia we shut down the 2G and 3G networks, so no old phones can work anymore
I would be ok with shifting Australia Day to a different date. But I dont know what would make a good alternative.
