#17 is for the "I liked Disney before they were all about inclusivity and diversity" trolls
I heard it. Screw you. Take my upvote.
I first learned this when we had an office radio and people wanted to listen to their county music as if they had a right to it. Once I recommended we ALL take turns playing our music, that idea quickly disappeared. Apparently Metal is like cilantro for some people. And I'm not talking wild stuff. Maiden and Megadeth are tame. Now, that's a potentially bad consequence. Because even county music is better than silence.... Sometimes. (Unless it's modern country then silence is preferred)
Jokes on those bastards. Metal goes louder. I smoke em out to make a point (then promptly stop once they do.) iit's worked twice out of 2 attempts.
Again, I'd say it depends on the field. And I think calling it mind games is a bit of an overstatement. I'm gauging a person's personality to see if they are a good fit. When really, everyone's a stiff in interviews. Again, your word "unprofessional" tells me we are in very different fields. That's a compliment in my world. NOBODY wants suit and tie, stiff posturing and fluffing. It's so fake it's impossible to get a genuine gauge. But if it works for you in your industry, that's fine.
Honestly, it really depends on the field and the position being hired for. If I'm looking for someone to slave away and enact MY vision, I'll happily skip the tests. But if I'm willing to pay someone well above the national average fresh out of college, I need more than just a report card to go off of.
I like asking it, not to hear their answer but to see their reaction. Any genuine answer is fine by me. But you blow smoke up my ass and lie to my face and we have a problem.
The cynic in me says yes but rationally, I'm not so sure. Right now when you buy a burger, you aren't just paying for the person to make your meal. You're ALSO subsidizing all that time the person was sitting there doing nothing. That's why fast food is more than sit down restaurants at this point. And living near a Wendy's, let me tell you that's 90%+ of the time. I can't say I have faith in Wendy's ability to competently pull it off. But even if they sell at a cost, it could help. COULD.
This is my biggest fear. Well not exactly this. $800 in one month is absurd. I'm not a shoplifter but I'm clumsy AF and I'm usually juggling at least one kid wanting to scan things at the checkout at a time. I'm POSITIVE I've forgotten items. I wish I didn't. And I'd gladly pay if I have. They're gonna come at me with a huge rap sheet after 15 years or something? I didn't say it was a RATIONAL fear.
Can you be my IT?
#8 is fake- doesn't happen. IT gets pissed when you add paper because it's "their" job. Especially if they're a union outfit.
I think this is a straw man. You can hate Biden, find him old, disapprove of what he's done, and still think he's better then a red hot poker up your ass. I, too, want a reason of "Why Biden" and not literally any other Democrat.... but you bet he's getting my vote.
The way they pan to that... unfortunate woman when he says sexy just makes my skin crawl.
FORMER boat owner.
We should feed these AIs as much GRRM as we can. Then they'll just never finish the art and we have nothing to worry about.
My Malamute/Shepard is 100% a lap dog. She not quite this floofy, though. (Which only makes this smol boi better.)
I said even IF they never played it, it still feels like it.
Sea of Stars is on Gamepass, if you have that.
I know saying the 'vibe' may be a little vague. But Lunar is a VERY positive uplifting game overall. But it's really like, yeah... you're these sheltered kids going out in the world and you're gonna make a difference. Is their journey met with setbacks? Yes. But their optimism keeps them driving forward. Like Kingdom Hearts or something. Meanwhile CT's tone is more succeeding when all hope seems lost. Its view of the future is quite literally bleak. I don't get that at all from SoS.
They're very different vibes. While I agree that Chained Echoes is better overall... I tend to like more serious and less whimsical games (with some exceptions, but it's a trend.) I prefer Tactics Ogre to FFT. I prefer FFVI to FFIV. I prefer Soul Blazer Trilogy to Secret of Mana. Someone who prefers more lighthearted affairs may prefer SoS.
HAH! Someone else who feels that Lunar vibes. Even if they were shooting for CT and never played Lunar, it's there.... And that's not a bad thing.
I feel it's overstated. It's a great marketing tool for a great game, but at the end of the day it's much more Lunar: Silver Star than anything, with some Golden Sun and MarioRPG.
I find Chained Echoes to be far better story (it isn't even close) but Sea of Stars having much better art. I like both combat systems but I might give a slight edge to Sea of Stars, only because CE's has balance issues later on.
I was thinking more the hands on hips angry dude
TCG card mats and neoprene board game mats from TEMU kick ass and they're sometimes at low as $.10. I don't understand it. Sure it's a knock off but yeah there's some good shit. I bought some cheap stocking stuffer toys for my kids as well and half of them broke, but the half that didn't were great. And I still paid 1/10 what I would elsewhere. So... I guess it worked out?
Can we stop pretending that Ivy League matters, much less is so important it's devastating to our country? Those schools are debt machines with little to no payout. And we wonder why our generation can't get out of student loan debt.
Only sort of. Also massive profits.
Actually it's the lack of MSG. It's one of the few Chinese places I can eat at for this reason. But I'm aware its absence makes flavor inferior
