I had a dog with ivdd and he only went in his chair for walks. Though I had hardwood floors and he scooted just as fast as his brother would run.The issue with leaving him in his chair is he couldn't lay on his side and he'd get stuck. Usually for quick trips outside I'd just use a sling to walk him around the yard.So around the house he was scooting, but outside he was in a sling or a chair depending on what we were doing

His coaches his last two years were Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly. That explains at least some of the dropoff.
