IIRC, the HHG2TG film gets a lot of flak for being too different from the books, but D Adams was very involved in developing the film adaptation's development
I interpreted it less as a "poor" adaptation and more as "inspired by"... Not all books are set up to translate into a tv/movies without (sometimes dramatic) changes.

IIRC, on an evolutionary timescale, teeth came first. Then sharks were like "what is used this teeth material on our skin?" And then other fish were like "let's use this teeth material to strengthen our skeletons," so it's more like bones are structural support teeth

I like to consider myself an orthodox futuramist; I've watched seasons 1-4 like 10 times, and even the first movie was decent, but I cut out halfway through season 6

The output looks similar to the output of modern curb laying machines. I wouldn't be surprised if they just switched industries.
I worried about this til I found my cats picking marbles up in their mouths 2 move them around to keep playing. Had 2 lock up nerf darts tho
I dunno, people ask for "sauce" all the time, I assumed "cider" was in the same lane
I was literally thinking last weekend how to describe what a muskrat was, and that's 300x better than anything I came up with. Spot on.
