I have a friend who did it the other way around: nursing the public health, and she loves her job at the moment! Some days working in a maternity ward, some days at a local clinic, some days running a mobile clinic for low oncome farm workers (she has a dispensary license as well). Hope you find your niche!
This is NOT what Christianity is about, and anyone who acts this way should please not call themselves Christian. I'm fortunate to be in a society where Christianity and critical thinking are very much both appreciated together. Wish more people could experience this side, but unfortunately most people are exposed to the judgemental/hypocritical/subjugating/self-centered/exclusivist/herd mentality Christianity. It's a shame

I wish more people could see churches like this. I am still part of a church, and I see so many diverse people serving the community because of their love for Jesus and their resulting love for others. Yes, the church isn't perfect, and neither are the congregants, but the church was always supposed to be a "hospital for sinners", not a "museum for the perfect" as many churches unfortunately see themselves.
