S2000's are great cars, but cost anywhere between 3-10 times as much as a Miata in good condition. Also, due to their high compression engine, they're far more expensive and harder to add power to. Yet, with just a few grand you can make a 300HP Miata that would embarrass and S2000 on the track, then use that money you saved to actually spend time on the track.

All the money he saved on a helper & a bigger ladder is wasted on back injuries and possibly dropping and breaking expensive attic stairs
