Entirely possible that the specific hardware is no longer made depending on how long it's been since your original cabinets were installed. My advice would be to see if you can get a metal file small enough to open up the new hardware since that'll probably be cleaner and less likely to injure you by getting the thing stuck on the end of your drill and ripping it out of your hands or flinging it across the room.

If you're good with electronics and want a project you can probably find the correct bits to make it an *actual* ultrasonic cleaner, but for the price you'd probably be better off just buying a less cheap but non-scam one from somewhere else. I bought one for various cleaning processes from Amazon a few years ago for like $100 and it works great. Oh, and you can tell it's actually "ultrasonic" because it makes a horrible high-pitched buzzing sound. It's hard to describe, but uniquely bad.

Love the confidence and the progress! If you're thinking of making a habit of this, I recommend learning some good photo composition techniques to better show off your assets. Like this is fine, but if you do a little bit with angles and lighting it'll make a better photo which will look hotter and better document your progress. After all, it's your body and you're going through a lot of effort to make it right, may as well learn to show it off even if it's just for yourself.

I recently got a cheap-ish laptop to throw Cinnamon on and get a feel for Linux before committing my main machine to it. It does take some getting used to, but once you get into the mindset of "I don't like this aspect of the OS, how do I fix it" you can really customize the shit out of your experience to make it feel more like Mac or Windows or a secret third thing (TempleOS). Weirdest part is running Linux I consistently get about an extra hour out of the battery life over the specs.
Maybe try to figure out why you were doing it. Sure it could just be a behavior you learned and internalized from the culture you've been working in, but also maybe there's something about the situation thats subtly off and this behavior is your instincts acting on something you haven't consciously recognized. Definitely work to change your behavior in the future to be more the kind of person your want to be, but maybe don't brush off unconscious behavior just because it makes you feel bad.

If the contractor left his tools and did that work then either he's coming back and this is just for to make sure he understands the request correctly or this person hired the absolute cheapest "handyman" style contractor he could find. Either way, homeowner got what he asked for.

One of my cats pees on my bed any time he has Complaints and he specifically aims for where the blankets meet the pillows for maximum damage. Normally not a problem because we try to make sure there's nothing to complain about, but sometimes he gets unhappy about the weather or his ear is bothering him or the crows outside are taunting him too much and how dare we not fix it.
Your cat is going to pee in your sock drawer if they haven't already. This could be a sign you need to clean their litter box basically immediately and possibly more often and also possibly wash all your clothes with some added Nature's Miracle for a while just to be sure you remove any possible residue of cat pee so they don't get any ideas about where's acceptable to pee.
Doesn't mean you shouldn't try. OP is making a genuine good faith effort not to buy new or to at least buy the least shitty possible option.
(4/4) Finally if you want to go with paint I’d recommend starting out with a good spray primer to make sure you have a minimum of the wood texture showing through, then move on to acrylics applied by hand, and finish with at least two spray coats of a good enamel clear sealer to protect it.
I didn’t go much into detail here since YouTube has good advice and tutorials on basically everything I said here. Good luck!
(3/4) The other very easy woodgrain option would be boiled linseed oil and paste wax. Also very simple to apply, also easily repaired, also looks and feels great in the hand, but offers basically zero scratch and dent protection.
(2/4) If you want to keep the woodgrain look you could go with shellac as a very forgiving wood finish that will also provide at least a little protection and is easily repaired. Or you could go with a series of wood stains. Or (I think) you can mix some kinds of dye into shellac. Personally I’d suggest not staining since that is the easiest too screw up and hardest to fix in terms of getting color where you don’t want it.
(1/4) There's a few options here, paint is only one. That looks to all be softwood which will be prone to chipping or rounding off on the sharper angles so you could see about getting a really, really thing 2 part epoxy to brush over every surface you can reach to hopefully harden at least a couple mm of the wood so it can resist at least minor scratches. Once the epoxy cures you can move on to paint if you want.
