The door handle is on the hinges side of the door.
As someone who is schizoaffective and proudly far left, this isn’t only extremely wrong, but also extremely harmful. This is just a new way of demonizing and spreading prejudice about people with mental disorders. These people are damaging a community who are already so attacked by conservatives.

My parent didn’t do this particular stuff out of spite or to hurt me. They were raised with a different concept of right and wrong. Their idea of “normal” wasn’t something I could give them. They’ve gone a long way since those days in understanding gender and gender expression. While they still have a long way more to go, I appreciate the work they’ve put into coming this far. I don’t hold resentment over those moments in my childhood, just sadness.
One versions I experienced of this were gendered toys. Toys that looked so fun when I watched my siblings play with them and I asked for when my birthday or Christmas came around. I’d get something deemed ‘appropriate’ for my ‘gender.’ Toys I’d get guilted into playing with and then get in trouble for playing with them in the wrong way. (Pretending they were the toy I wanted to have instead.)
Actresses of all colours deserve support, not just white actresses.

Loved this artist until she went on an uncomfortably racist rant about the new Snow White movie, including posting really disparaging comments about racial minorities under her same video before deleting them.
