I'm fairly sure that's not a map he's reading. Zooming in on a map doesn't change text size, only viewable area. My guess is an email or web page. That said, he may have good enough vision to drive, but it doesn't matter - he's not even looking at the road for the entire clip.

You're ignoring that the guy is reading his phone while driving. Regardless of eyesight, he's making a stupid decision. I don't know his circumstances, but I'm leaning less towards "he doesn't have good public transportation" and more towards "he doesn't care about anyone but himself".

I just hope they don't figure out we do our best dance for really big bills! *Looks around hopefully*

Ah, a hand PRINT scanner. That's different than a hand HELD scanner. And much, much worse.

They were, and still are, losing money to theft. They also lose money to waste, damage, bills, paying their employees, and taxes. Ideally, customers would just wire money directly to the company's off shore account, and they wouldn't have to deal with any of these pesky "employees" or "products" or "laws".

I'm not sure if you're implying that the US doesn't have earthquakes, that the US doesn't have alert systems, or that the US is filled with panicked people. Or maybe something else - despite media attention, not all Americans don't scream and stand on chairs when they see a mouse.

We don't actually have any pizza. Yes, the big sign out front says "Try our pizza!", but we don't have it. Would you like our special four course meal instead? We serve salad, soup, no main course because that's over at Amazon, and dessert!

The first season is definitely still finding its legs, but by the second season it's pretty consistently funny.

I give 200%. 20% on Monday, 30% on Tuesday, 45% on Wednesday, 25% on Thursday, 30% on Friday. Yes, that only adds up to 150%, I'll make up the other 50% when I get that on-call bonus and start working weekends. Next week for sure.

Counterpoint, if you're getting your work done, who cares? If you AREN'T getting your work done and you're out on an errand, sure, time for a talk. When I hear "This person ran errands and slept in for two years before she was fired for doing zero work," all I hear is "This business was too inept to realize someone was doing zero work." It's not a WFH problem, it's an accountability problem.

For many jobs, yeah. Programming, accounting, even sales. Can't do that if you're needed in person though. Not a lot of work-from-home lawn care guys, or heart surgeons, or line cooks.

The drug store is where you buy drugs (the prescription kind). However, most drug stores also sell other stuff, ranging from trinkets and candy to groceries and toys. Why? Where are you from that your stores that sell drugs aren't called drug stores?

It's not natural evolution, but it is evolution. Selective breeding is kinda the whole point.

There are some especially asshole kids that will get a bunch of food, then waste it - throwing it away, making a mess, whatever. Just because they can. It doesn't mean you should starve kids, though, it just means you need to teach kids to be respectful. And maybe don't shove a thousand+ kids into a giant building with almost no supervision...

A wretched part about invisible issues is that they are invisible. No one can tell you "Oh you just need to go out more to cute that broken arm" or "Just lose some weight, your stand wound will go away" or "Just smile, that heals itchy rashes." And because of that, it's easy to pretend to have a problem and end up making life worse for people that are suffering from depression, or ADHD, or dyslexia, or any other mental health, chemical imbalance, or invisible disability.

Or perhaps peanut butter sandwiches are something they share as a couple, and he's secretly pleased that he can share a tiny thing with his wife, without her knowing it's a sacrifice for him. For some people, sacrifice is romantic, not a cause for friction.

Only when you have reached true enlightenment will you understand: there is no octopus.

I can make it worse. I bet you can swap out some of the letters, so the B has a c inside it, and the N has a y and so forth. Extra points is you can write a sentence with the big letters and the little letters that makes sense either way!
