Crabsturbating.
I care less about the corp suffering and more about the message being sent. People see that we are on the brink, we are in the middle of an affordability crisis and employers aren't paying enough for their employees to survive. This is the first. Hopefully there is more to come.
I see no reporting of anyone physically hurt by this fire either. Financially, sure, some jobs were lost, but no bodily harm.
We can agree to disagree. If the fire had actually physically hurt anyone or spread past the warehouse, i would feel different, but knowing the outcome, I understand the arsonist message and cannot muster any anger toward a man who was tired of being stepped on.
This arsonist clearly had a plan. Set small fire to provoke a response, buildings evacuated fire dept shows up and deactivated fire suppression system for non affected parts of the warehouse. Arsonist then sets more fires in empty warehouse. I concede that the fire could have spread beyond the warehouse, but luckily it didn't. Nobody hurt but property and future earnings. Im looking at dominoes falling to potential class awakenings. People will suffer in the short term for possible future gains.
Yea, I agree, it sucks. But it happened and I will blame the corp for underpaying the arsonist before I blame the arsonist for setting the fire.

Yes it sucks that people could have died, yea it sucks that people will be out of work, but would you prefer the company continued to underpay their employees? Yea, t he arsonist burned down the jobs, but the company created the circumstances that pushed this poor soul to the edge and over.

Not once, in all the times I have stopped to help someone or some animal, have I ever felt the need to film it. I feel like a scrooge every time I make a comment like this on a feel good post, but damn has the world gotten to comfortable with filming themselves.

What i see here is less a crime than a public service. It doesn't seem like it now, but I see this as the second domino in a chain that leads to a better future. 1st was Luigi. We are getting closer to class solidarity.
Sucks that others lost their workplace and future income, but we need more of this to spark the fire of worker solidarity and class consciousness. They should have paid him enough to live, or at least enough to keep him from burning the 0lace down.

Im American, I went to Edinburgh to meet some online friends, one of whom traveled from Saudi Arabia, and while there, we went to a grocery store. All 5 of us had grabbed something to buy, and I was the last in line. One by one, I watched each of my friends be greeted by the cashier, followed by a smile and small talk. When it was my turn, all I got was a cold stare and a "cash or card". I don't think she was a fan of Americans lol.
