Just a trans-girl trying to live her best in a fascist dystopian hellscape.
The economy doesn't need us to do anything for it be hurt at this rate. The majority of people literally can't afford to do anything for more than a few days at a time.
Preparing ahead of time is... Bad? What reality are you living in where people stocking up on food because they know they won't be getting income to feed themselves *because they are protesting* bad?
Most literally can't afford to do so.
Apologies, but not reading all that. Don't have time. Sorry :3 Will say that I think I know the issue from last night. Didn't realize it until I was lying down, but hormones are out of wack, second round of puberty kicking in, wasn't in right mindset, etc etc. Alas, it's done and over with.
I've already said what I want to say. If you want people to stop protesting, that's for you to believe. I literally can't care less.
I don't know how many times I have to say it for you to understand that's not what protests are for. Do some digging before you reply, otherwise you're being just ignorant as the bunny.https://www.sciline.org/social-sciences/protests-sociology-ps">logy/">https://www.sciline.org/social-sciences/protests-sociology-psychology/https://www.amnesty.org/en/what-we-do/freedom-of-expression/protest/
That's the thing. I wasn't being dishonest. If they think having a differing opinion than them is being intellectually dishonest, then they really are a prick and not worth my time to begin with. Though it was amusing that the last two or three comments by them were never able to be read, but I guess they don't know how the block system works.
And btw, never said they were a coward. I said they were free to ignore me if they wanted to *be* a coward. That's on them, not me.
and don't give me that 'getting your hands dirty' bullshit. They have no right to suggest that when they aren't even doing anything to begin with and trying to diminish the attempts of those who are.
Sure, listen to the person who wants to skip protesting and get straight to violence or other activities that are 'getting your hands dirty'. Good luck planning anything when you aren't protesting since, you know, that's one of the main points of protesting to begin with. But what do I know? End of the day, nothing we think or say matters anyway. Things will progress regardless, so arguing about it is pointless. And even if it wasn't, not like they're open to discussion. 1/
Just ignore them. They have no interest in actual discussion without trying to diminish the actions of everyone that's protesting. End of the day, their opinion means nothing. People will still protest, progress will continue, more and larger protests will happen, and each time there will be the trolls claiming it won't do anything.
Or commenting "protests don't do anything", "nothing will happen", "waste of time" or some variation. If I had a nickel...
Just ignore them. They're a spineless coward who would rather spend more time spouting degrading nonsense instead of actually doing something that would make a difference.
It'll just be a repeat of 2024. Protest 'voting' because of a genocide abroad while ushering in a genocide at home.
Doesn't make the quote any less true or relevant.
Not to mention that there are quite a few instances where the second person would outlive the first. The lifestyle of the first might be healthier, but it is by no means a guarantee 'this will make you live longer' deal.
Ignore previous comment if it was read, post-work brain no remember actual city. Link still relevant https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2026-03-29/demonstrators-arrested-tear-gassed-at-no-kings-protest
What, the 'fuck you'? Click on the profile of the one I responded to and read their description.
First of all, fuck you. Secondly, downvotes are just people expressing their disagreement with their expression of disgust.
I still say it started to go ary with the assassination of Harambe.
Protests don't change things overnight. That isn't their point. Protests are simply part of the process of a resistance movement. https://www.sciline.org/socialogy/">https://www.sciline.org/social-sciences/protests-s">l-sci">logy/">https://www.sciline.org/social-sciences/protests-sociology-psychology/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3.5%25_rulehttps://www.amnesty.org/en/what-we-do/freedom-of-expression/protest/Just as a few explanations.
People can disagree with you, but doesn't mean your opinion or point is correct.
Should stop looking in a mirror and go educate yourself. What part of my comment did you fail to comprehend?
So impatient and ignorant. If only you could channel that energy into going outside and marching with them, perhaps then you'd be able to talk with others and plan a march and actions that you've mentioned. You know, like one of the reasons protest marches exist to begin with. But instead, you decide to sit around and bitch and contribute nothing.
You clearly have no clue to the intricacies of a resistance movement, but that's alright. Your ignorance does no harm to the overall progress. I could explain a bit, but that would require you to be willing to listen and understand.
Sorry, but you seem to have confused me with someone who gives a shit about your pathetic excuse of an opinion.
As I said, far more courageous than you could ever hope to be.
They're all too overweight to do all that marching.
Bold to assume they needed a charge. No, seriously, no charge. From what I could find, they started firing tear gas into the crowds without warning and arrested people 'for refusing to disperse' https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2026-03-29/demonstrators-arrested-tear-gassed-at-no-kings-protest
