It is ironic that Trump likes the word "deal" so much when clearly he wants to rely only on intimidation and never negotiation.
It says "restrict" not "prevent". Certainly better than nothing.
So the operating system is taking a screenshot of every application every time that application gives you notification. The phone itself needs to be able to see the content so it can display it on your screen, so conceivably it could be recording everything on the screen, and the applications would not be able to stop this. You need not just an app but an operating system that understand the need for security and secrecy.
I'm not sure how Signal would prevent this besides maybe warning people. No software can take responsibility for what other software does.

It's weird. These companies have never tried to hide the fact that LLM AI often "hallucinates" answers (i.e. tells a falsehood), yet so many people have no idea they can be wrong. I also suspect google search AI personalizes answers, so different people are getting different answers, but I would need to borrow the computer from somebody with a very different search history.

MAGA's relationship with traditional gender roles is more complicated and less coherent than that. We have seen many women rise to positions of real power while espousing the value of traditional motherhood, and the harms of feminism. Clearly Sarah Palin and MTG are spending more time on their careers than their families, but people still feel like they are supporting traditional families when they vote for them. Generally they care about the message but not reality.
A lot of their logic is based on the idea that some people are just plain evil and should be suffering. The part that worries me is how inconsistent moral judgments can be. Sometimes I call it "Hollywood Morality" because they also assume that the difference will be obvious and intuitive and total like the "good guy" vs "bad guy" distinction in movies.
Immediately tried this, but reverted it. Disabling "smart features" removes the automatic categories. So spam, reddit notifications, emails I actually care about, all get mixed together. Though I can see why sorting emails into categories requires having a computer read each one.
I've heard that event with hardcore MAGATs the war is unpopular, and indeed Trump will soon back down because that is the only group he still listens to. Of course "unpopular" is relative to how they normally react to anything Trump does.

I think I saw the same clip, or extremely similar saying that the man in the video was surrendering to the drone. Surrendering to a drone might sound strange, but I guess it has become common with bomb carrying drones. Of course you are supposed to feed prisoners of war, so if they surrender to your drones you might use the drones to deliver water/food and hold them in place until you have a chance to send infantry to bring them in properly.
It might feel like a life time ago, but remember when DOGE was created to stop fraud among government spending and while they did shut down a lot of programs they never formally accused anyone of fraud. In that case "fraud" was just spending they did not like.

I remember the controversy when he acknowledged how much the USA needs Saudi Arabia; and the lack of controversy when he talked about the attack on Venezula was about the oil. Conservatives have become very overt in their racism.
