Yep, I don't have a problem with cats. However, my body does not react well to being around them. If I go a visit a friend with cats, I have to take a shower as soon as I get home and put on clean clothes. I'm allergic to most dog breeds too.

Really? My experience has been quite different. I'll admit I didn't pay a lot of attention to it, but I certain remember going into a few guitar/music stores and the conversation was generally positive about the choice.
Portnoy is an amazing drummer. Absolutely top tier. However, I'm very happy to see him back in Dream Theater rather than touring with Rush. Nilles is also an amazing drummer. I think this is a fantastic opportunity for her to expand her name recognition with the general public. Looks like wins all around to me.

The assumption is that he's intimidated, the twist is that they are both respectful, good listeners, good communicators, and willing to compromise before "issues" become "problems". I hope. I'd really think that's the case. Source: been with the same woman 20 years, almost 18 of that husband and wife. People aren't perfect, so marriages aren't perfect, but we're better together than apart and it's worth putting in the effort to make things work.

The old saying goes, "You've got your whole life to write your first album, but 12 to 18 months to write your second... and you're probably doing that on tour for the first". It's questionable how much albums and record deals are relevant anymore (today you need something new in front of your fans every week, not necessarily a song but something), but they certainly were when Gibson was in the spot light.
Yes, there certainly are. However, is it deserving a nicer approach? I, for one, think we should discourage this. Of course, your mileage may vary.
