We've seen this happen before. It didn't turn out well for the people ordering the gold office.
You can be the person that says "ain't shit gonna happen" and also be doing everything in your power to try and make shit happen at the same time. Just so everyone is aware. You can believe nothing is going to happen while still fighting for everything.

Umm gerrymandering, purging votes, polling intimidation, and also some people financially cannot take time off work to vote. There are a bunch of reasons. Take a moment and think about the things these people do to make it so our voices are suppressed, along with potentially manipulating the count.
If nobody in politics is willing to stop him, we're going to have to stop him...somehow.

I think that's the point. Get people so angry that they protest, violence breaks out, martial law is declared, no elections when martial law is in effect, Trump holds power for as long as he wants.
Nobody knows the full story. Providing support is great. Saying this is a bit of a jump and unnecessary. Absolutely get a lawyer, because that's just what smart people do. But, don't assume the other person isn't going through a tough time as well.
