Only Brits were considered white when Euros started to colonize America despite everyone in Europe being white. Nothing to do with skintone.
When I grew up, I learned it's called lobying in the US and it's legal. Still blows my mind how blatant it is. 2/2

Before you make any other comment on this subject, I am from there, and have first hand experience as I have lived through that war. 2/2
It was not a civil war. The war started after declarations of independence and continued for years after, as I already said. 1/2
However the wars continued for years after those countries became sovereign nations, so that is technically not true. 2/2
Serbia invaded Croatia and Bosnia in 1991, after they declared independence, but were not yet recognized 1/2
