Yeah 7 weeks is not standard. The standard is 25 workdays per year. And you have legal right to take weeks together. Usually people yluse the 5th week for like going skiing in winter. You can also save 5 days a year and potentially have up 8 ish weeks paid vacation every 4th year.

I forget that continents are huuge. I was born and raised in a city by the sea and have always had it close so it's "just" a normal thing in my narrow window to the world. Even so it fills me with awe from time to time. Happy for these people!
