this is what I came here for
They're very inclusive and wonderful! I went to a recent show in Massachusetts and they invited a local Nipmuc Shaman and some of his tribespeople to open the circle before they began playing. They came out several times to join and had a big part in the closing ceremony too. Really powerful show.

Sadly, someone's always gotta go first. The guy who lost first on my episode was convinced he was going to win right until they cut him.
The test is valid though, a poorly made knife will change angle on the cut or cut raggedly. Source: bladesmith and competitor on the show.
