Say what you mean; murder. You saying we should just murder these men in the street? It’s considered free speech and they are protected by law since it could not be proven they were being violent. They can wear and sport whatever they want. Arresting people for waving a flag (even a Nazi one) is a violation of their rights. Just like we can’t throw a gay person in prison for waving a Pride flag. We can’t just arrest people for their beliefs if they’re not being violent. That’s called fascism…

What was it that you did to strike fear into their hearts? It’s not like people are just sitting around doing nothing. When this happened in Nashville a spontaneous angry mod almost the same in numbers as theirs began screaming at them and booing until the police made the Nazis leave. This one too, was met with a lot of local anger. It’s not like folks are just hanging out goin, “oh there go the Nazis again.”
That’s not really true. When this happened in Nashville the police were pissed and “escorted” them out of the city. The police made them leave is what happened.
Just to clarify, you would openly assault angry ignorant men carrying loaded guns who were openly spraying people with pepper spray? What would your plan of attack be?
What makes you say it’s a grizzly? Is there a feature I’m missing? The black bears that come up on my porch every week are this blond/brown color out in the Western U.S.
Should we storm the Capital? Take to the streets with guns? What are you suggesting? I should have shot the Nazis I saw in February?
I was there that day. The thing is freedom of speech in the U.S. Since these men were not being violent, it’s considered free speech and are protected by law. They can wear and say whatever they want. Arresting people for waving a flag (even a Nazi one) is a violation of their rights. Just like we can’t throw a gay person in prison for waving a Pride flag. We can’t just arrest people for their beliefs if they’re not being violent. They WANT to get punched so they can react in self defense.
They were armed, and were apparently spraying pepper spray at people on the street. As much as I would be down with punching a Nazi, punching a man with a loaded gun who is probably prone to violence is not a good idea.
I’m drafting my strongly worded letter as we speak.

He never claimed to be an outdoorsman. Walden is not about survival or self reliance. It’s about connecting with nature and understanding the damage humans are doing to the environment.
I want to write a spooky children’s book JUST so I can hire @Patricbates to make the pictures for it.
We who did not vote for him are mad, disappointed, ashamed, and TERRIFIED. If everything he wants to pass goes through, that’s it for me and my family. We’re immigrants. You can’t possibly know how terrifying that is; that jail or deportation from a place I’ve lived for 30 years are real possibilities now, unless you have been through something similar. I want to cry and scream. On top of all of that, we have half of the people here, a safe space for mental relief, calling us all garbage.
England still thinks they’re entitled to half the World’s artifacts and refuse to acknowledging many many atrocities they’ve committed. Brexit was no picnic either, and that did affect my life directly in a huge way. But I would never dream of taking to the internet to tell random English people how bullshit I think these things are. That just makes ME a giant asshole.
Believe me you can’t possibly be more mad about it than I. It’s incredibly annoying seeing foreigners using such hateful language especially when most people here on Imgur did their part and more to try and stop him. I hate being talked to as if though this is somehow directly our fault. I know how much the US fucks with the rest of the world and how shitty that is. Many countries have a history of global dominance with a worse record.
The comment was “Stopping the nazis in your own country was your own task.” Germany failed at that quite spectacularly was my point.
Now imagine being from the US, and loving it as your home, being proud of it, growing up in it, then seeing it fall like this so terribly, then being met by an angry borage of foreigners telling you you’re country is full of shit and that your birthplace is “a fucking toilet.” Feels great. Just sayin…if you’ve never seen it in person, Lyme disease sucks really really bad. Growing up in the South, I would never lie down on my lawn mid summer without a blanket, and then would thoroughly check my whole body after. It’s really no different than people in the tropics taking small steps to prevent themselves from catching malaria.
Letting your kids feed wild animals, in general, is a terrible idea. Just don’t feed wild animals. Go to a petting zoo.
A person got plague just a few hours from my house quite recently from a squirrel while camping way out in the backcountry. They shut down that part of the park for some time while they ran tests and studies.
Oh yea. Tennessee native here. That sound sends chills of absolute terror down my spine. It means, “Take fucking cover now fuckers! Hug your family! Shit is about to get BUCK wild!” It’s a sound I’ve only heard during the blackest of nights, with lightning strikes so loud your kitchen drawers shake out onto the floor… Maybe our town didn’t do tests? I don’t recall ever hearing a test siren.
I’m always terrified what their next move will be, for the sake of the World.
I’ll probably be fine. I’ve seen like ALL of the Die Hards and Lethal Weapon movies.
