Just a dude who likes funny memes.

Eh, it looks like there’s a lot of corroboration. Maybe Stone did some of the dissemination of oppo research to journos, but the accusations look like they might have merit, and honestly? Fuck rapists, even if they claim to be on my side

Jury trial is a constitutionally guaranteed right, only reason they’d get a judge trial is if they asked for one

There are much longer discussions of this which are not character limited and discuss the subject in greater detail, but art is about human expression and requires human intent and the medium of that expression can be found or unintentional, but making it art is about expressing something to others and that requires intent.

That’s reductive, but the gist of it is if it is presented w/ intent and context and meaning. I’ve been talking about intent this whole time.

You can not intend to take a picture, but you can intend to present it in a context that highlights artistic merit. An accidental pic of a sunset is just a pretty picture. An accidental pic of a sunset taken while a photog was out in nature trying to snap a bird or something & then recognized for its aesthetic qualities and presented in context can be art

Because if it isn’t taken and framed or presented in some way where the meaning or importance of the picture is highlighted, then it’s just a snapshot in a roll of film.

I’ve taken fantastic pictures by accident, but pretty =/= art.

Something created by accident would still have to be intentionally recontextualized for anyone to consider it art. A trashed bike is just garbage, unless it is found and placed in a context that lets people appreciate it as art (found art in this case).

I can imagine a situation where an AI output is manipulated by a person to make art, but in order for that to work a person would need to manipulate it. Just taking the output and presenting it as art misses the point.

Because art requires a mind with internality and intention to create it, and what AI creates is just a statistical approximation of a requested image. Nothing about it is intentional or expressive of anything deeper than a training dataset.

FWIW this would not be sous vide as “vide” means empty or vacuum.
