Know what? That sounds like a fantastic pulp adventure 'Secret History of the World' plot, so fine. Have an upvote.

Constructive or feasible or something you are actually willing to do or even suffer if others did it on your behalf. The obstacles involved so monumental as to be as fanciful as wishing unicorns will fly out your ass. So, lets do some quick and dirty critical thinking, what IS something your average person can do, is willing to do, you can HELP OTHERS do? Stop empowering those that abuse the system. And you tell me I reach to far. I'm not downvoting you, I'm not mad. What are you trying to say?

spill blood (which i do not believe you will), it is much easier and more effective to spill oligarch blood than burning down the fucking government. It is weird that this apparently makes me unaware that Trump needs hanging and Scotus needs culling or any of the other uncharitable things I've been told because i said acting like the goddamn red hats did will achieve less for us than it did for them.

Also, maybe aim for a less... impossible digestive metaphor. We are trying to improve what comes out the asshole of our government, so what keeps feeding it Taco Bell and stopping us from balancing the diet? Lobbyist, corporations, Jeff, Elon, so on. Much easier to overthrow THESE things, much more attainable. This whole 'tear it down and start over' might make you feel good to say, but as it stands WE WILL NOT DO IT. Germany didn't either. Instead, stop buying Amazon, and if you must

That's colorful, sure. No, not congress as it stands, no. I am trying to communicate that overthrowing the government will not solve that problem either, because you would still be trying to shit unicorns , only now you've destroyed your asshole, removed your colon, burned down your intestines, taken acid from your stomach and melted down your tongue and teeth. Instead, stop eating McDonald's and hoping to shit unicorns. 1\2

No, not even a little. Let's math it out though. You have no interest in a revolution, and neither does anyone else downvoting me. You want SOMEONE ELSE to do a revolution, while you continue your life. The government keeps too many things running for you to do a revolution. What we need to do is make it run for The People instead of those buying Republicans. We would not have an urge to overthrow the government if we overthrow Rupert Murdock instead, and it is more feasible.

I can agree with that, sure, but people don't seem to understand the scope. The government is more than Trump and Scotus and Congress. There are many in that company that need to be brought to task. They are not, however, the entities you mention. They are a symptom of it. Those entities? When was the last time you bought from Amazon? Went to twitter, or even just up voted a screenshot? Facebook? Google? Hell, probably whoever owns Imgur has spent money on buying legislation.

We already have an 'Or else' my guy. We get to see and hear it every day, on every channel. We know what the or else is. As for my wide-eyed naivety, no I don't need Ted Cruz to condescend to me in person before I Get It. He gets away with it because there is HUGE swaths of people that DON'T UNDERSTAND. The reason why they don't is Rupert, Jeff, Elon, Joe, Jordan and so on. You want blood? Fine, seek theirs. To many people rely on the government for any sort of revolution to WORK.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Stop empowering the people that allow them to get away with that. They found out what Nixon did and ran him out of office. What has changed? They bought media companies, they bought infrastructure and services, they privatized so much and lie to so many. 73 million people in America did this to the other 260 million, but that was made possible by our oligarchs. We don't need a revolution, we need regulation. Want violent change? It won't work like you want it, but fine. Eat the rich.

That is in fact a TERRIBLE solution. We don't need to revolt against the government, we need it to make laws that serve and protect The People. It just so happens, as stated in the post, that The People have been led to believe that everyone Other Than Them is on the edge of coming for them, their family, their country. You are helping that impression, with your faceless words YOU will never consider doing. You want someone ELSE to do a revolution. Instead, stop using Amazon, shiTwitter, etc

Service in fighting the fight THEY COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO PUT THE EFFORT INTO PREVENTING with their vote.
But I was in a shit state cause I had just woken up to the goddamn end of the world.
I got wordy (as you can see, it is a common problem I have) and with only 500 characters I didn't make my anger at that apathy clear, and I ended up sounding like I was trying to forgive their failure,
Or worse, I sounded like I was a MAGAt
I got downvoted

A bunch of people didn't vote, for one reason or another.
OP (rightfully) is angry and made a post about those that led us here because they didn't vote.
It indicates that the ONLY course forward is those that didn't vote getting reamed against their will with a morningstar.
If this were to happen, I would sleep soundly, rest assured.
My response was meant to communicate to those folks that didn't vote, there is a different penance they can perform, a redemption could be earned through 1\2

It has not been okay since before Reagan. More are simply aware of exactly HOW bad it is. It is not too late, he is not in office. We simply have to make sure he stays out. We cannot assume it will be okay, the system will not save us. Will you let them lay the rail? Build the camps? We are there now. Will you live with it?

I did not make this bed. I have spent twenty years trying to fight even the building of this bed. I've raised my children to disdain this bed. I REFUSE to sleep in this bed. Please, help us. Sanctions against the United States. Willful disobedience. Space for refugees. I am sorry we failed. I will keep at it.

You could help. Many of us voted against this, but here we are. A difference between now and the last world war, the peasants have access (for now) to Internet. We can tell you more about what is happening here. But our government? You shouldn't co-operate with it. It will ruin your economy, it will cause sanctions and hardship in Europe. You've seen it before, we tried to help then (late, I know). Help us now

We do not need to accept this. We do not need to let this happen, do not need to trust the system. It is not providing for you, so you do not need to provide for it. Ignore those laws, these regulations. What can they take? Your life, your livelihood? Would this let you keep it anyway? The rule of law has failed us, why should their law bind us if it does not punish them?

If we let him, he may. If he remembers. They are immaterial to him, but someone can probably spin it to him, if they think of it. Any federal charges. Do not despair, not because we are not desperate, but because you needn't be complicit. 66 million people (at least) tried to stop this. We do not have to simply obey what we know to be wrong.

The fear is what they want, the hate and despair. This paralyzing, CHOKING rage? To their benefit. We must simply realize the system will not provide, as you have been taught. As our founding fathers intended, it is time for us to make sure our system is adjusted to the needs of the many.

He was, but we cannot rely on a higher power now. We cannot wait for the superlative to rescue us. The X-Men are not coming. It is on us now, to raise a hard hand to shepherd those the powerful and afraid would harm, for we are among them.

When this first started, I thought to go there. I'm not Rambo, nor Sun Tzu, nor Frank Castle. It wasn't machismo, I've no drive to kill or suffer the conditions that would allow me the freedom to hurt those Russian pawns. I do not think myself some sort of operator or warrior. I was a mid thirties white guy from the suburbs. It just seemed we should help.

They asked, then, that only those that might be useful come. They didn't want tourists, or sociopaths. I stayed here.

I wish I hadn't.

If this is you, not to worry. I'll not cast you out to the cold, I do not want the state to punish you or The Left to ostracize you. You must understand though, that we tried to stop this, but now it is too late. You didn't or couldn't choose. We need you to choose now. Stand with us, give up your comfort, shed blood with us. Do this, and we can move forward. Continue to try and keep us calm, tell us it isn't so bad, that we can't fight this? You stand with those that voted for this... Failure.

I know you are scared, and I know that no one wants to suffer the consequences of being first. I know violence is not often remembered fondly by history. I know that it may lead to pain, blood, death. I know it may be beyond your capacity, and I forgive you this if so. If you can, tho? Next time? Yell. Scream, even. Make a scene, draw blood, be bloodied. We are beyond civility, beyond live and let live, trust the system. We need to organize and resist.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

We cannot accept this, you know. If we really mean the things we say, we have to refuse this. We must not consent to this government, just as they taught us. There is no higher ground anymore, no absolute morality or honor here. If we cannot be right, we must be righteous.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They want despair. They want the fear of pain and blood to let us stand by why they lay the rail and build the camps. They taught us what we need to do, in school. They taught us about what shape the world might take now, about the revolution that formed our country. We are past the world we were born to, the promised future. To build it again for our children, we must show them the lessons we learned.

They have prepared us for this. Even here, in Texas, public education made sure I knew Huxley, Orwell, the techniques of propaganda and control. Handmaid's Tale, Man in the High Castle, even Wolfenstein. They have shown us the shape of a world where fear and hate won somewhere. Shown us, despite those that profit from ignorance, what we need to do.
They taught us the American dream was wrought in blood, and now want us to forget that. Forget what we need to do.
