Politicians would never let that happen. Those companies are one of the reasons the politicians get rich too

Only if it were to reflect off something and come back. We would otherwise need to travel faster than light, look behind us and wait for it to get there, but thats going to open up some other weirdness even if it were possible

You shouldnt need a law degree to understand the tax code either. It is so complicated so that those with the means to do so can do the paperwork to take advantage of the system your elected officials with the help of lobbyists put in place. The loopholes arent accidents that lawyers happened to find, they were designed and additions to the tax code arent going to fix the problem you rightly see because they will just make it harder to see through, but no less abusable

In the case of taxes, Most of the time, as close to the edge as they can yes. Sometimes they get brazen, but most of the time. The tax system was built to benefit them, thats why its so convoluted. Its why anyone talking about tax reform but not talking about drastic simplification, just increase the number or the ever vague “close loopholes” doesnt have a real plan. Loopholes are a designed feature, not a bug.

The regulate the evil corporations, giving those corporate pawns even more power to capture more of the market. Its a feedback loop. I’m not 100% sure I know the solution to reverse it, but I do see history, and history says the centralization of power away from the people is the problem, regardless of the starting point, and not the solution

In other sustems its just more obvious that its power being centralized by the hand of the government. When it starts from a free market and moves through market/regulatory capture, its less obvious. When gov and corporations are working together, the corporate pawns in government do their job for the corporation, the corporate interests eat the bad public view because they dont care because they have the government power on the payroll, the public calls for more power to the centralized gov

Centralized in the hands of a few who are otherwise suppressing the masses. That came out of the USSR, a socialist system who was responsible for planned starvation of millions in ukraine and that was the result of a revolution against a monarchy. Whats the point? It’s not an end result of capitalism, its more broad. Its an end result of power being taken from the masses. It happens in every system that cedes localized governance to some centralized authority.

The united nations signed a “strategic agreement” with the WEF, you know, the guy who said “you will own nothing and you will be happy” neither the wed or the UN are exactly free market systems. Real china was driven off mainland asia by a communist party and hows that going? Money and power are consolidated into the hands of their officials and the companies that cooperate well with the ccp. Russia is currently an oligarchy run by a pseudo-elected dictator essentially with money and power…

Regulate. You get gov officials able to engage in insider trading on the companies they both regulate and receive lobbying money from. You get a tax structure specifically designed with writeoffs/ purposeful “loopholes” meant to be easier on the biggest companies than the upstarts, and on it goes.
