A key component to conservatism is a strict adherence to hierarchical structures. God, government, then men as head of the home. They can be intelligent but will still adhere to the structure. Thus, intelligent flat Earthers or JD Vance saying shit like "Daddy's home." Intelligence is used to force a worldview, not adapt to it.
