I learned of this from 60 Songs That Explain the 90s. Rob Harvilla is the goat.

Both positions are her actual position, both were held with equal conviction at some point. People aren't allowed to re-evaluate or change their minds, don't you know.

It's the duality of dragon. Everything is either actually a dragon with 1HP and a variety of armors, or it is not. Philosophy is such fun.

'Because I want money and you want bamboo pillowcases in 6 hours." It's funny and sad because it's true.

She doesn't even stand with all women in her own country. With all respect that is due to you, shut all the way up and go drown in a pool, Riley Gaines.

Occasionally also tap tap, but mostly against the bean stalk, the side and stem of it.

Racism, sexism, trans- and xenophobia are not opinions. The great replacement theory is not an opinion.

Of course, he was more than likely murdered because he wasn't entirely antisemitic enough to the type of people who snipe others to death from way over there.

In the end, he leaned far to the left.

A fraction of people are single-issue abortion voters, sure.

The majority of people think of themselves first, foremost and only, though - it's all about the individual's money. Trump offered utterly nonsensical but easy-to-communicate solutions for the affordability crisis, which was and is still the absolute centerpiece of it all, and the American people are unfortunately dumb enough to accept nonsense.

"Had to work twice as hard for half as much" Yeh, and now everyone is working three times as hard for a third of what you used to make. Your family did it - past tense. Your family would not be making it today, in the present.

"Making it" is a matter of luck within favourable circumstances that you had a fraction of a fraction of a hand in creating.

And because you're obviously wilfully obtuse and a leech of energy, I'm going to block you now.

The point being that NOT any dumdum can do the job, Dustorm. Source: I've worked those jobs. They require LEARNED SKILL. They require education. They CANNOT be done by just anyone, at all, not even badly. It has nothing to do with "nobility", but basic humanity and practicality and reality, frankly.

Lol What a dumbass take there, dude. Did it cost a lot of effort to ignore the part where I emphatically agreed that people in so-called "unskilled labor" jobs are underpaid and undervalued?

Where do you think this situation is rooted? Could it be in the fact that economists labelled their work "UNSKILLED", implicitly and explicitly stating that any dumdum can do it? It's literally a worldview-inspiring terminology, and it's the REASON why folks suffer while working those essential jobs.

I think it's the joke's implication that McCarty's story never actually happened that might invite scorn.

"You're not even mad about those words."

I am, dude. Very much. Did you read my comment? "Unskilled" is not a neutral, I nonjudgmental word, even when "economists" would like to pretend it's an objective descriptor.

"Do you think we..."

Do you think bears shit in the woods? It's not a matter of opinion, so why do you pretend to ask for mine?

Economics shouldn't have this distinction, or that category. Every labor is skilled labor. Everyone who says that there's such a thing as "unskilled labor" is doing so just to create a group of people he can look down on and feel smarter, not because there's any truth to the idea that people don't need skills (aka can be dumb) to do that labor.

"that isn't a skill"

I did that for three very miserable work-and-travel weeks in Australia, except with oranges.

That IS a skill. Not everyone can do it. You need to learn it, and not everyone can learn it, either. I don't know which pasty desk cowboy ässhole came up with idea that doing this doesn't require skill, but I am 100% certain he never did this in his life.

What a ridiculous and pointless distinction.

It's like the safety rail thing at a rollercoaster.

I guess when you're a doggo on the sofa, you need some safety arm.

At some point I swear people may understand that everyone else is not a homogenous mass.

Some people legitimately are okay with AI slop, and with hot women, and even with politics. And other people are not okay with any of these things.

There is no "we" who's okay with any one thing.

1. You're not seeing videos featuring ALL callers. It's not exclusively these nutsos.
2. Don't you think that it's rather that nutsos like this naturally gravitate towards shows and platforms like Dean's?
3. "Could be staged" Sure. And the parents at Sandy Hook could be crisis actors. Says a lot about you rather than reality when you posit that what "could" be, what is theoretically thinkable, is actually true.

I know we all WISH these people didn't exist, or only lived under a rock in some far-far away shîthole country, dude.

But they do exist. They're your neighbours, your colleagues, your kids' teachers, your local politicians. They vote. And they're seriously messed up in the head to the point where they find child SA a-okay.

It's not a hoax. It's not a joke. They're serious as a heart attack. Your denial, as understandable as it is, is part of the problem.
